when people claim that they enjoy Miss Mary Jane Holland I can't help but think "why? we already have Bloody Mary..." such a banger. a dark, elegant masterpiece. I really love the way it dials back the madness a bit (still fairly demented obvs, but in a slightly more subtle way) and she serves purity of vocal with proper enunciation, like she's literally recording her vox at the electric chapel. it's just gorge.

not making a video for this one was a real missed opportunity.

I REALLY LOVE BLACK JESUS! the bonus tracks don't quite fit the album totally but they do fit each other and all 3 sound like they came from sessions for an earlier version of this album, before it became super aggressive and industrial. this song has this really fun NEW YORK STRUT feel that I totally vibe with (despite having never been to new york lawl). the verses are the best bit.
