I don't think it's really about DISCOVERING her in 2020. I've obviously been aware of her oeuvre from the start and throughout, but have often discovered it to be rather stupid and hollow. I mean dear God who'd want to hear a whole album of it after hearing JUDAS? :shock:

Luckily this album is a triumph and ALL IS NOW FORGIVEN (well, not Judas and also not the other awful ones :tongueout:)

Sine From Above is quite cool, but the last thing I wanna hear is Elton John on a dance track in 2020.
 
I can't at the idea of gays at Pride when Born This Way comes on be like "New artist, who dis"

OK but you really should listen to ALBUM OF THE DECADE Born This Way. It's quite simply everything. (And it's nothing like Judas!)
 
Anyway, I think I'm ready to declare Free Woman the living tits. I can swallow the new production. I'm gay, I know how.
 
Her vocal on Fun Tonight is absolutely sensational honestly. I'm not sure she's ever sounded better.

One thing that must be said for this record is that is hands-down her best vocally across the board.
 
Loving Ms Jark belatedly waiting at the Born Brave Bus stop, hoping for a cheap ticket to Chromatica the day after. It's a shame she missed the Rocket #9 Express yesterday. :(
 
Chromatica receives 2.5/5 from the Suedey jury.


Some good solid pop tunes there but for me the main issue is what @jivafox pointed out earlier: a lot of it does sound quite samey. A welcome change of direction and return to her pop roots though.

I can’t recommend Born This Way either. It’s my least favourite of her ‘pop’ efforts. Though I still place it above ‘Joanne’ and her other forays into random shit like ‘Cheek To Cheek’.

:D I’ve just been listening to the ‘Born This Way’ album in the interests of giving it a fair trial. I abandoned it around ‘Black Jesus + Amen Fashion’ (and ‘Scheiße’ was at least billed appropriately.) I can loosely see why it might appeal to a certain sort of person (:tongueout:) but I’d rather roll round in the nude and get hysterical to ‘Mary Jane Holland’ instead, thanks all the same

I'm enjoying the album after two and a half listens, but I do agree that the breakdown at the end of Sine isn't really very good. I know I say it about everything but I wish she'd gone in a slightly more PC Music direction with it - something like the outro from Charli XCX's Unlock It would've been PERFECT, ie cutting everything up and giving it time to breathe.
 
LOL @ the gays who actually think this album is some kinda masterpiece because they just won't admit that their hyperbole bubble POPPED.

On the PC Music front, wasn't she supposed to be working with QUEEN SOPHIE on this album, or did I imagine that?
 
I’m going in. And my first thought is that people who don’t get Alice WEREN’T THERE THE FIRST TIME ROUND :disco:
