I think this reveals just how much Gaga is an old-skool popstar. She loves a big album roll-out, with showpiece performances and statement promo. This resulted in overkill during BTW and ARTPOP. It was more understated during Joanne, because there was less interest, but she was still very active. I think she doesn't know how to turn this into a BEYONCÉ / Future Nostalgia. Maybe it's also because this album seems like it's been genetically engineered for Pride season, and won't make much sense without rainbow-branded Absolut and provincial floats.
 
I had a dream last night in which I heard the entire of this song. It was great. Can't remember how it went though so it'll still be new to me when she drops it in July :disco:

yeah, Gaga is hardly the indie artist a la Fiona Apple so she cannot drop an album just like that, especially during these times but at the same time, it's when we need the MOST! But Gaga usually works with an army of people hence why every campaign is a money-making scheme just like Louf said - Gay Pride. Without that giant platform she's got nothing :( I read yesterday the entire tour was scrapped as well?

other sources state she'll be releasing a Stupid Love Remix (:D) to tide us over while an official date is announced

In retrospect, she should have dropped this album last year. '19 was peak gay. Every brand had a rainbow logo, Drag Race was the cool new thing (for straights *vomit emoji*), and Joanne was fresh off her Oscar win. If she had dropped an album of hot homosexual bops for Pride Season, it would have been perfect. Instead, she decided to release a tacky make-up line, and delay her album of sweaty, topless bangers until the middle of a social-distancing-inducing global pandemic. Talk about a reverse Warholian experience.
 
I don't really mind that she's delaying it - I think if this were a Joanne or Cheek 2 Cheek affair she'd probably be more comfortable dropping it as is and doing some stripped down perfs to get those news outlets to do their yearly 'wow, Gaga can really SING' stories, but with a big, bright, dance-pop album I can understand why she'd rather wait until she can do videos and performances and it can actually get played in clubs etc.

Also, physical sales are down, streaming is down, and she can't go on tour - so from a business perspective, now is very much not the time...

Of course the album is now being held hostage by some BRAZILIAN TWINKS, so I imagine it'll all be out there soon anyway.

The problem with that is...when IS the time? Corona has royally fecked things up for at least a year. There's simply no point in waiting. Also, it's not as if her fans aren't going to order the physical editions anyway, no? At the very least couldn't she just throw us a bone and give us an album track or something?

Quening OUT! The imagery is so phoned in, darling. None of the commitment of showing off your new ARTPOP tattoo while dressed as an untamed futuristic lab scientist, as launching an album with an image goes. I love it!
 
Meanwhile, Stupid Love remains that bop. It's part of my morning run playlist and that "YOU'RE the ONE that I'VE been WAIT-ing FOR" first verse always gives me an extra boost. JOGGING QUEEN.
 
I mean I'm excited too, but at this point it may as well be called "Hyperbolica"

I'm so glad that my people fell to Cyrus in 539 BC in a horrific burning inferno, only to end up on a Lady Gaga track in 2020 during a plague.
