Lady Gaga - The Chromatica Era (2 Viewers)

Why DOES @joanne AKA Ladu Gaga have a Modge In Milky Bath avatar? Not nice to say it but I think she’s got a lot of problems. A lot of mental problems

:tongueout:

Oh I’m just trying to be FRIENDLY! :)

Anyway, it’s important not to be too warm when you meet new people because they take advantage and start rifling through your handbag to see what bits and pieces take their fancy, NOT TO MENTION having sex with your boyfriend while you’re at the Cash and Carry :(

having sex with your boyfriend while you’re at the Cash and Carry :(
But who cares about THAT when your Makro card gets you access to massive wholesale boxes of Quarter Backs and Petrified Prawns, all for a low low annual cost? Boyfriend who?!

I've only read AWFUL things about this album from a bunch of negative nancies which no doubt has definitely AMPED UP my excitement.

"basic lyrics, unadventorous beats, feels like a regression for Gags, Plastic Doll sounds like a The Fame demo" seems to be the general consensus
PERCHED :disco:

I'm don't want to going here. But the Koreans song is the FUCKING TITS

Gaga has only ever written basic lyrics. She writes in tweets, to be retweeted.

There are GREAT pre-choruses on this record (Alice, Free Woman) - the choruses are a bit hit or miss (Babylon and 1000 Doves are great).

Stupid Love is one of my least faves actually.

Positively gorging on Babylon right now. Like Crystal Waters gratuitously bitch-slapped by Martha Wash on crystal meth. Truly a song for the ages - that's gospel. I actually can't function at how good this is!

OMG this is POP MUSIC. Proper POP MUSIC. I love it so far (I'm up to Fun Tonight) - it's just like.... everything I've wanted her to go back to for 10 years! I'm so happy!!

"911" - why didn't anyone warn me?? :disco:

My biggest enemy is me
Ever since DAY ONE
Pop a 911
Then pop ANOTHA ONE

"Sine from Above" is exactly the song I didn't know I needed from Gaga (or Elton) but I'm so happy we have it. That feverish instrumental hook is so good she had to repeat it BACKWARDS

Anyway, first listen is complete and this is easily her best album since Born This Way. No skippable tracks, which is probably attributable to the lack of piano/rock ballads this time around. FINALLY.

Am I the only one who whenever I see the title wants to add "...ROMANCE" at the end of it?

Naturally my two favourite tracks are Chromatica II and Chromatica III.

Finally some easily accessable, unconvoluted Gaga pop with lots of lovely late 90’s/early 00’s references.

This is the fun summer pop album this horrible year needed!
