Lady Gaga - The Chromatica Era

God this album is such a RUSH. It definitely works best listening to it from start through all the songs, there's none I really skip bar Plastic Doll.

Replay, Enigma and Free Woman are my picks.

Gaga continues to reach new heights on streaming and Spotify with a new peak of 48.4 million monthly listeners. She is on her way to 50 million and entering the Top 10 most listened to artists ww.

To put things into perspective, she had 13,5 million monthly listeners on Spotify when Joanne came out... This is quite mindblowing if you ask me! :disco:

I suppose it is good that this album can be enjoyed by all levels of musical intellect, as opposed to Joanne which appeared to alienate those who don't listen to anything other than four to the floor bangers.

Unsurprisingly the #1 album this week in America with 274.000 units sold in its first week, as announced by Billboard.

For our charts history nerds:Lady Gaga becomes the fastest female artist in history to earn six #1 albums on the Billboard 200 and the first to do so in under a decade. :disco:

Am I the only one obsessed with the Second Time Around x No Way cancelled demo from 09 vibe of Love Me Right?

I love that she leaned so hard into her ability to write simple, fun pop songs on this album.

all for a good cause etc but god this Judas redux look is absolutely tragic :D the blonde... pony (?) (or mullet?) stuck to the side of her roots behind the bandana... GIRL!

It it nice that when she speaks she also does sign language these days.

Like RuPaul, Gaga hasn't done her own make-up or dressed herself in years. Her pandemic eleganza has been... CHOICEFUL.

Biggest Female Streaming Debuts (US)

#1 thank u, next 307M
#2 Lover 226M
#3 Invasion of Privacy 202M
#4 WWAFA, WDWG? 194M
#5 Over It 155M
#6 Chilombo 149M
#7 Queen 128M
#8 Sweetener 126M
#9 Lemonade 115M
#10 Chromatica 87M

:disco: for an artist like Gaga to become a minor streaming force among contemporaries like Ari is really a great result. She's never really been in full popstar mode during the streaming era so it could have been a challenge.

Rain On Me also down to 5 on the Hot 100 which is a decent hold.

At this point I would previously have tagged "Graduation (Fronds Forever)".

Words Which Alienate Foreign Anchovies, Why Do We Grant?

It's only the greatest fish acceptance protest album of the decade.

Babylon officially doomed to remain an ALBUM TRACK :(

Between those eight Gaga songs bubbling under and Britney’s “Mood Ring” that is the gayest Bubbling Under chart ever. :disco:

Poor thing chose the worst timing for release in her home country :(

All the Internet stans who shamed her into putting it back on the release schedule are going to have to live with these stats the next time the Barbz and the Little Madonsters come for them, and they're going to have to live with that.

she's now the 10th most played artist globally on the spotty fry.

Sour Candy on 44m streams (still #21 on global), 911 has 13.4m, Alice has 13.1m. Streams overall remain pretty strong, it hasn't tanked.

Some of her stans are UP IN ARMS that she‘s projected to sell only 60k this week in the US which would place her at #1 or #2. :D

I think it‘s pretty decent. She was always going to be front-loaded and did zero performance. This album has LEGS and will keep selling in the long run :disco:

A 70-80% drop off is the norm for pop girl albums, including Gaga's. And she had the tour bundle. It's doing just fine!
