It was originally recorded in 1997? Weird cos it seemed to fit in perfectly with that specific era of dance! A 10 for me, I have great memories of it from a happy period of my life.
I live for the Xeonomania remix, it's definitely up there with their Katrina & The Waves and Vanilla work. The original is a bit 'AATW style trance' but I always think it filled the gap left by Livin' Joy (which I'm sure we all felt). Do Ya (Feel The Love) is even better. The same vocalist sang the Queer Eye For The Straight Guy theme song. Seems weird that they didn't stick around for more.
Broken Bones was SIX years later. The UK version was a remix though. I think You're A Superstar was the 2nd Canadian single but it was the original version that was a hit in the UK. The band had long broken up before their UK success!
I have their album. No idea where it came from and don't think I have ever listened to it!
It also popped up in one of @Ag's Friday night extravaganzas. Hadn't heard it for about 15 years then twice in the space of a few weeks. It's a lovely song. Gives me feelz.
Still stunned this wasn't a UK #1, but I guess the 4 week hold at #7 over the holidays was still a huge hit.
And yes, this is the now hopefully regular Can Drag Race bump and long may it continue. Do Ya (Feel the Love) and Into the Night for 2024 and 2026 please producers.
