Coming 5 years after it originally came out in Canada, this spent four weeks at number 7 over Xmas/New Year in 2002/3... It's amazing right?

It was originally recorded in 1997? Weird cos it seemed to fit in perfectly with that specific era of dance! A 10 for me, I have great memories of it from a happy period of my life.

It was always about "broken bones" (original 1998 city of love edit). Feels rather moody for Eurodance

I live for the Xeonomania remix, it's definitely up there with their Katrina & The Waves and Vanilla work. The original is a bit 'AATW style trance' but I always think it filled the gap left by Livin' Joy (which I'm sure we all felt). Do Ya (Feel The Love) is even better. The same vocalist sang the Queer Eye For The Straight Guy theme song. Seems weird that they didn't stick around for more.

Weren't Broken Bones and Superstar hits in Canada about 4 years before they broke in the UK?

Broken Bones was SIX years later. The UK version was a remix though. I think You're A Superstar was the 2nd Canadian single but it was the original version that was a hit in the UK. The band had long broken up before their UK success!

I have their album. No idea where it came from and don't think I have ever listened to it!

Where's the zero?

Sorry but this is one of those songs for me that killed the glory years of dance stone dead.

Bump for the Drag Race Canada revival.

I still prefer Broken Bones, personally.

HAVE you got the PICTURE
Do you KNOW what I MEAN?
I'm the FIRE baby
and you're the GASOLINE

It also popped up in one of @Ag's Friday night extravaganzas. Hadn't heard it for about 15 years then twice in the space of a few weeks. It's a lovely song. Gives me feelz.

The attractive one died a while ago, so I'm guessing no reunion. Anyway, I still love the vocal and sensitive lyric.

This one also remains a gem:

I really like it, it was nice to be reminded of it on Drag Race Canada

WHAT A SONG. They don’t make em like they used to.

Still stunned this wasn't a UK #1, but I guess the 4 week hold at #7 over the holidays was still a huge hit.

And yes, this is the now hopefully regular Can Drag Race bump and long may it continue. Do Ya (Feel the Love) and Into the Night for 2024 and 2026 please producers.

God I hate how the UK always seemed to need horrible UK radio remixes to please, who, Jo Whiley?

This is just so much more sumptuous than the tweedle dee remix we seemingly required:
