LUCY UP MY HOLE - A Musical Extravaganza, with Lucille - Friday 13th November, 9pm GMT

I've finished my rum, and changed from jeans to RUNNING LEGGINGS, so I can feel like a SVELTE QUEEN OF THE FLOOR while this hot disco moment twinkles and grinds away so delightfully

Next is some (relatively) modern disco from Desire, with Don't Call from 2009. Yes girls there are a number of abrubt TONAL SHIFTS tonight, do get used to it.

"Back when black people were emotionally, physically stronger, more intelligent. And those were the ones kids looked up to.I never thought it would end." - weird racist comment on the Youtube for this
omg!

Bloody SNOWFLAKES with their BLM when they used to just SING AWAY THEIR RACISM PROBLEMS!

I only know a couple of Desire tracks, and NOT THIS ONE! :disco:

It's got much more life about it than some of their other stuff, almost a EURODANCE bassline with the melancholy of Robyn :disco:
Deffo one saved for the future ROUND MINE!

Another FRENCH CHANTEUSE and yes, there will be MORE. Vanessa Paradis recorded this highly charged erotic vocal at the age of 15, but it's France, which kind of makes it OK?

Marilyn & John is utterly beautiful and transcendent

love the way it just goes on and on and ON. how relentless!

Ok technically this was recored in 1984, but the aria from Madame Butterfly was written in 1904. This electro R&B interpretation of the classic opera produced by the manager of the Sex Pistols may be my FAVOURITE thing on here tonight, and has been a fixture at Lucille's cocaine afterpartys for nearly a DECADE.

I don't care if she's 15, I don't understand the words anyway, it just's a gorgeous song

The instrumentation near the end :disco:

So many lovely flourishes in these songs tonight

Next up Leonard Cohen with a quite unusual DISCO TURN from 1987. In typical CHEERY Cohen style, this is in fact about TERROSIM! He had the below to say about it.

"I think it means exactly what it says. It is a terrorist song. I think it's a response to terrorism. There's something about terrorism that I've always admired. The fact that there are no alibis or no compromises. That position is always very attractive."

:D
