LUCY UP MY HOLE - A Musical Extravaganza, with Lucille - Friday 13th November, 9pm GMT

Next up Leonard Cohen with a quite unusual DISCO TURN from 1987. In typical CHEERY Cohen style, this is in fact about TERROSIM! He had the below to say about it.

"I think it means exactly what it says. It is a terrorist song. I think it's a response to terrorism. There's something about terrorism that I've always admired. The fact that there are no alibis or no compromises. That position is always very attractive."

:D

AN ALL TIME FAVE!
Len's DISCO PERIOD was just :disco:

Can't wait for NICK CAVE to take a trip to Future Nostalgia :disco:

I’ve had to mute this whole event so far because my family decided they wanted a GROUP CALL.

I’ve just put this one on full blast for them to enjoy :)

I think I'm a little ahead but this is the best yet. The chorus surprised me and the lyrics :disco: I need to get more into him

OMG the chorus to Manhattan :D

I love your BODY
and your SPIRIT
and your CLOTHES!

:disco:

We've got a relatively mainstream turn next but don't worry it's completely DERRANGED from that point on.

Wasn’t this used at the end of “Watchmen”? I got to enjoy it every time I cleaned the screen when I worked at the cinema.

French record producers deciding who to give their new song about sucking dick to:

:D

I mean I'm sure it's ALL VERY QUESTIONABLE and whatnot, but I was just trying to enjoy the song and FORGET the inevitable sleaze and horror involved.

A bit like eating meat really, or obtaining ethically DUBIOUS goods..

I think slash know this is my fave Sledge song, but it probably benefits from not having the overplay of the BIG HITS.

For a HET he really did add a new aspect of HIGH DRAMA to the disco sound,

It's sort of makes me imagine an alternate universe where after hooking up on 'Where the Wild Roses Grow', Nick Cave returned the favour by dropping a verse on 'Your Disco Needs You'.

I FEEL THE PAIN
I CAN'T STAND THE STRAIN

some cheeky LUCY UP MY HOLE foreshadowing?

The Leonard song is SENSATIONAL

I do love when these playlists are a LESSON as well as a tits-in-space experience

all of the Lime artwork is absolutely GORGE! those BLEEEEEP BLOOOOP SYNTHS looping over and over like a demented video game are SO HOT!

OMG I am aware of some of Lime's WORK, but not THIS! Those HIGH REACHING VOCALS! :disco:
I have NEVER seen them visualised either :D

It's all very My Galileo by the legendary Aleksandra Kirsanova and Konstantin Drapezo but gone ITALO!

I don’t know much about the next Italo track by Los Angeles T.F. Except it’s utterly deranged and SOMEWHAT SINISTER.

MORE ITALO. Next up are Canadian former husband and wife duo LIME with Love Tonight. Confusingly they were called Denis and Denyse, things could have got more confusing when Denis had a sex changed, but luckily he changed his name to the rather tasteful NINI NOBLESS.
I cannot believe this is real.

OMG Nini Nobless isn't even some sort of JEST either! :D
