Madonna - Confessions II OUT NOW (6 Viewers)

I've never understood the adoration many have for Get Together. I really, really like it, but it's ultimately a bit basic and nowhere near top-level Madge for me.

I wouldn't consider an all time Madonna classic necessarily, but there are moments when it hits hard.

Forbidden Love? I prefer the sultry Bedtime Stories gem :disco:

When Confessions first came out, sure the lava flow of Hung Up's eruption of ABBA, but Get Together and Forbidden Love were pure electronic fantasia. I was obsessed. To think we had Madge, Girls Aloud, Rachel Stevens and Sugababes to contend with all in the one season.

All four of the Confessions singles were magnificent.

I actually consider Hung Up to be the most basic, but was always going to be the monster hit of them all.

Get Together SLANDER is an unfortunate choice.

Hung Up is basic in an extremely amazing way.
Sorry is basic in a not-so-great way.
Get Together is basic in a good way.
Jump isn't basic at all.

Glad to have cleared that up!

Jump is definitely basic.

ARE YOU READY TO JUMP
GET READY TO JUMP
OH BABY
YES I'M READY TO JUMP

But it's my favourite backing production on the album, rivalled only by Forbidden Love

Can we get together?
I really, I really wanna be with you
Come on, check it out with me
I hope you, I hope you feel the same way too

PROFOUND.

Never quite cared for Jump, but the Pet Shop Boys oxygen it breathes on and the "my sisters and me" line are definite credentials. I truly wasn't a fan of the videos for firstly Sorry and then Jump seemed even worse (the Jo Whiley/Annie Nightingale look I was not ready for).

I consider the tour to be genuine next level ultra creamy smooth pop icon Goddess mode and then some though.

Get Together and Let It Will Be are my faves I think.

The only really bad song is I Love New York.

I'd hardly call Get together a career highlight song.

Excuse me? It's #2 after Vogue.

I Feel So Free is playing at the sexual health clinic. it kind of already sounds like a Madonna classic - the contrast with Bring Your Love is hilarious.

it actually segued into Bring Your Love :eyes: the crucial difference is that one has a great chorus melody and one does not
