We still have the women's solo I hope? I've been looking forward to that Time To Say Goodbye performance that retiring woman has been saving for the occasion.

Watching the centipede team pursuit. The Dutch are just insanely good at speed skating.

Can't believe they got that back.

And the commentary is infectious.
They both do such a good job of selling something where you have no idea what’s going on apart from the athlete not face planting the snow being a good thing

I’ve been enjoying the women’s figure skating! A lot less falls than the USELESS MEN. Although the current leader is a Russian who did a routine to a MICHAEL JACKSON medley.

:ToneNervous:

Looks like the maple syrup devils are going inflict another loss on GB. :(

Since they're all Scottish, would love the British team to crank up their accents if not the slang when discussing and shouting so that the Canadians wouldn't understand them.

Obsessed with the Japanese 17 year old who just took the lead and landed a triple axel without breaking a sweat.

What a rousing finale. What a top 3. Gutted for Miss Amber Glenn though. I take it you can't try the jump again later on then?

The short program has several required elements, one is a triple jump, if the jump is a double it’s considered a fail and no points are awarded.

Robin Cousins mentioned it's easier to "try again" in a solo routine as opposed to a pairs, but perhaps the steps routine or spins couldn't be sacrificed here to do this. Since we all know programmes have required elements (what with the whole being marked thing let alone it being mentioned in every routine) maybe there just wasn't the room. Bless her though.
