Miley Cyrus - Endless Summer Vacation + grammy winner at last (2 Viewers)

The fact that she is going to have her second transatlantic #1 ten years after her last. The longevity :disco:

her career resurgence is truly heartwarming. it makes me think she'll have a lifelong career with many peaks and valleys. that she's only 30 and seems to be entering her prime in many ways is pretty exciting I think, it reminds me a bit of Madonna in the 90s. she's just too talented and charismatic not to root for, and I think those new years specials have maybe elevated her a bit toward national treasure status in the US.

maybe @POP! or @RJN can confirm/pull from the cwej book of stats.

This seems somewhat true, but I don't think her star ever faded. The songs just weren't connecting here really bar "Malibu" since Bangerz. "Flowers" is a perfect fit for her and I think will translate into album success. It's far too early but there's already talk of it being a year-end #1 with the amount of streaming and airplay it's getting. It also pulled off something stupid like 75k pure sales, which is pretty unheard of these days unless you're Taylor Swift.

Yeah everything @POP! said. She’s a household name and this just feels like another big moment for her

The song exists but I'm happy for her.

It really is a perfectly crafted pop song. Sounds like an effortless classic on arrival and doesn't squander a single second.

Very happy this is blowing up the way it has. Deserves to be as big as e.g. "As It Was" last year.

Amazing result - before it came out I expected top 20 at best. Maybe she will give us more than two singles this album.

The combination of I Gotta Feeling and Party In The USA can still be heard at every single wedding, bar mitzvah, etc.
I hear Party in the USA way more than I Gotta Feeling these days tbh.

Miley is looking gorgeous these days. Her live duet with Arianna of Don't Dream It's Over and her vocal was a total swoon. I'll need to actually listen to her properly soon. Malibu was nice, but I'd rather she covered the Hole number.

I think this song is just kind of universally relatable, and has some similarities to As It Was. Its reminding the public of her

It's also very much a mid-tempo, groovier "Don't Start Now" to my ears - at least in terms of ingredients: very prominent bass line, perfectly placed disco strings, relatable theme. effortless vocal. All the good stuff.

The covers begin...

I sort of like it, the synths are a decent substitute for the strings but 'I can love me better' is LACKING

Bono Jr does have quite good semi rock star hair.

I still find her voice awful, but Flowers has excited me more than any other song of hers.

I need to give Plastic Hearts another listen

This bootleg seems to be gathering steam. There's a few different versions out there...

I don't think that works at all. cold instrumental vs warm vocals isn't giving. that Ace of Base mashup is still the best I've heard
