If it's a bird feeding station you're after I can highly recommend this one Amazon product ASIN B01K7K34TQ that I bought for my dad on 2nd March 2017 (thanks Amazon for telling me that) and it's still going strong in mum's back garden. I also bought Amazon product ASIN B01K7K3AIG on the same day.

My George Foreman broke again yesterday. That's the third one (first one paid for and then two free replacements) that's broken the same way since I bought the first one last August. The spawn is also on her third one. Clearly there's a manufacturing electrical fault with them because it's the same thing that breaks down every time but they're still selling them.

She's all over TV at the moment. Unsurprisingly the break out star. Shame CBB has gone, the girls would have been easy picks. Still got I'm A Celeb. Maybe.

It was half way through filming when coronavirus hit.

In other news the removals guy is surprisingly slight but beardy. Definitely would, you could chuck him around like a rag doll.

Mandys attempting to drive the broken campervan to the mechanic today to be fixed. Then cycle home. I've decided that doesn't fun so I'm watching Little Fires Everywhere.

Oh yes this. When we stayed in the Peak district I missed the sea so much. The only water was a little stream and it was heaving.

We're lucky here because there's a ridiculous amount of beaches across the Island so it's easy to find a quiet one.
 
@Star question. Is London a nice area to bring up young kids? Most of my friends with kids say they like bringing them up in the country or by the sea. So curious to know if London has its perks for raising a young family.

I think it depends on what you want really. In London you have access to everything, but it's a lot more congested. For me personally I don't like it, it was great 10-15 years ago for where I was in life but now I find it incredibly claustrophobic - and I'm fortunate to have a reasonable sized house too!
 
I always think the countryside is great for small kids but not teenagers. I was very resentful of being miles away from my friends and anything fun.

That's sad :( I must admit I've never seen the appeal of London, especially the older I get. I love the countryside and the beach. Would you consider moving to the country or is it too hard because of work?

We're very lucky on the island, there's hundreds of beautiful walks. But then we don't have all the shops and nightlife London has. Not that that bothers me now days. It's swings and roundabouts I guess.

Yeah I agree with this. I loved living on the island as a child. Got to 14 and hated it. But by 21 I loved it again.

Not yet. I imagine as we get older we'll visit more places and find somewhere we like. Current plan is to stay here until the kids are at uni at least*

*unless we win the lottery beforehand.

We've worked hard enough in our jobs to have savings etc. And if we sold this place we'd be able to buy so much nicer and cheaper I think. So financially I'd happily take a hit for quality of life.

You know me, long term laminated life plan :D Right now it works for us, having family close by is a massive help with the children. Plus as I say we're lucky enough to have a house/ decent garden. And I do think growing up they'll enjoy this life. But I don't want to spend the rest of my days here for sure.
 
I bet on the IoW we could probably buy a castle or something with our London house price.

Yeah I can see that having family nearby is useful. My older brother is in Shoreham and he misses having us and his wife's family near by.

Personally I couldn't cope living in a city, but that's probably because I've been an islander for years. Plus property is so cheap I can afford to only work 3 days a week.

My younger brother bought a house for £850,000 near Hampton court. It's only 3 bedrooms.

On the island you could buy a massive detached 5 bed house with acres of land for that price.

I mean our 2 bed flat with parking and sea views cost us £85k and it's a pretty big flat.

This plays on my mind so much! But then would we be happy right now without our family/ friends close by? I'm not sure we would be.

That's the thing isn't it, friends and family are so important. It's a hard choice. I couldn't imagine being away from my friends and family, but also couldn't cope living in a city. I feel for you.

The amount of stunning shirtless men in the town park was astonishing. No one is on holiday this year so they're all at home looking JUST GREAT :disco::horny:
