Monday have I ever

I've known SO MANY people getting lockdown puppies. And they can all go fuck themselves, unless they've got a good plan for when they're back to work.
 
I joined a group for bull breeds and it was so depressing. One woman was asking how she went about breeding her bitch as she’d never had a dog before. If you don’t know dogs you shouldnt be getting one knocked up.
 
Spawn moved into her new house on 18th December. They've just discovered that a homeless person has been sleeping in a brick outhouse in their back garden and has been using the toilet in there even though it isn't connected to a water supply. Spawn's other half has had to clear the toilet out and they're now seeing what their options are with regards to getting him some help and stopping him coming in.

Last week I did up some opening hours for work, I literally wrote;

Dec 24th 8am - 5pm

Etc on a word document and hit print. Now work are messaging me because they want to alter the hours but don't know how to recreate the document. I'm having to talk them through step by step how to write in a word document. There's probably 10-15 people at least working today, does no one have a clue??

The police told her to bag his stuff up in a binbag and leave it next to their front gate and secure the outhouse door so he can't get in again. Spawn said she was going to put some sandwiches and mince pies in with his stuff in case he was hungry and the police told her not to put anything other than his stuff in there because it shows weakness and he might come knocking on the front door asking for more. It's an awful situation, not being able to show kindness to somebody down on their luck because there's a risk they'll try and stab you to death. There wasn't any drug paraphenalia in there or empty cans or bottles, so hopefully he isn't some dangerous crackhead. She's also got a number to ring for a charity who will send somebody round to get him and find him a bed and help if he turns up.
 
Homelessness is one of the saddest things I can think of. There are always a lot of homeless people around here, but there have been more than ever since the pandemic and its very heartbreaking to see it

This is heartbreaking. I always wonder how they survive at this time of year with sub zero conditions. It’s so sad. :(

It's like all this hostile architecture and street furniture you see (and when you start to see it, you can't STOP seeing it), isn’t it? Let's ignore the fact that people are reduced to sleeping on the fucking street or in an outhouse, and address it by putting fucking SPIKES on pavements, placing wavy benches you can't lie on, or whatever. Just so we don't have to LOOK at the homeless on our way to the theatre or the restaurant (theoretically). God forbid anyone treat people with a bit of compassion or human decency.
 
My house will remain like SANTAS GROTTO until the 12th day after Christmas.
 
I haven’t taken mine down yet and it’s up later than it has been in YEARS. And I’m going back to work tomorrow. It’s all just SURREAL.
 
I got everything down on the 26th, I was just DONE with it very quickly this year :D

I do see why people do it. The house without clutter is so much better after the big day has been, and also it can get rather depressing once everything is over. To get back to normality by taking everything down can be just the ticket to get back to a “normal” frame of mind.
 
I think mine will stay up until the 6th January, if not definitely until after New Year is out of the way.
 
Yes it's definitely the clutter aspect of it. Plus this year I went a bit ott with loads of paperclips and it was just a bit much :D
 
I always buy far too much so that things are perfect and rarely touch much of it. Not this year.
