Sandstorm seems to be the only one of mine that's doing well  you're all RACIST for not voting Dizzee Rascal

20 sets of votes have been cast. Probably my favourite song on the entire list has gone from safe as houses to 39th place, so the big cheating BASTARD in me is saying to close it now and to the devil with the consequences. The statistician in me is telling me to wait til 5 because watching the chart fluctuate has provided a genuine thrill in otherwise dismal times.

An hour left. I want you to vote a certain way, but I'd never be so vulgar as to stoop to coercion.

reMember, if yOu don'T buy a ticket, yOu can't win the Raffle, Cast Your vote quiCkly so you don't LosE your favourites.

Oh NO!

5s

Corona
Deee-Lite
Electribe 101
Gala
Livin' Joy (original not the remix :manson:)

4s

Jam & Spoon
The Source ft. Candi Staton
Billie Ray Martin
De'Lacy
Olive

3s

OT Quarter (for years I thought it was Q!)
Amber
Berri
Saint Etienne
Motiv8 ft. Angie Brown

2s

2 Unlimited
Alice Deejay
Blueboy
C&C Music Factory
Whitney

My 4s please me as 4 of them I almost always playlist together :disco:

Alexia was hard to let go, but this is one of her weaker hits (Number One is her best thumper, but obviously Uh La La La would have stood the best chance), as were Ace of Base, Camisra (the song is a swelter if not a belter), Capella (still on good form, it just doesn't quite hit the same heights at this point), and Angel City (probably the closest out of this set, but as with AoB, it's too pop for my consideration here). And my go to Tony is Don't U, which redefines the word epic.

Do you not want to give out your five 1s? You've only nominated 20, and you can give a point each to 5 more if you want.

Going through my 5s (for I'm all in a tiz now that I've got them on).

Corona's original vocalist was of course... let me look her up to remind myself... was the unforgettable Jenny B. A bit of trivia is that both she and her cold-spined replacement Sandy Chambers also both sang on singles for JK, which was a project fronted by a willing mouthpiece from Poland - the albino Olga De Souza if you will (You and I, You Make Me Feel Good being the best and both by B), but B has the more gliding tone that makes Rhythm of the Night so perfect. Rapino Bros makes it more emphatic and in line with subsequent productions, but the original is it's own trancey fantasia.

Actually, I can't go through them all, I have the Gaga album to get back to :D

What I actually meant to say (:D), was about this gem:

This woman sang on the song that Rhythm of the Night lifts its hook from. It's very Phoebe Buffet's power rock Smelly Cat meets Taylor Dayne. The original rap lyrics (no idea if they're in here) were rather tasteless to say the least (and all the more better and bizarre for it), but it was edited quickly after.

"Norman Bates and his mother" :D

Amusingly, Motorcycle was the last one that I cut in order to give a comedy point to Caramelldansen. I hope it makes it to the final.

CLOSED. I left it an extra minute for t'stragglers, but that's your lot. Results starting between 8 and 8:30, so just loiter around the recent posts and hammer refresh as long as you've nothing better on.
