Dealing out negative emojis is surely going to make people feel rotten at worst. I am against this. Surely under the new bullying rules this is shaky ground.
People can and do react with then already, as an individual post. Moving them to reactions would just be a fun way of making it more personalised to the forum, in my view.

And it is a toy that can and will be taken away if it causes problems.

I just see in an era where we've removed tags and said no to tags, we're adding a tool with built in unpleasantness.

There’s a difference between expressing a NEGATIVE reaction and BULLYING, I’d like to think we’re not so reactionary we can’t tell the difference.

I don't think we need reaction emojis that could be used or taken as an insult, particularly :eyes: or :manson:.

Right on board with :D:disco::horny::(:oi: amongst others. I'd say anything which couldn't plausibly add a +1 to the reaction score should be avoided.

In the rough and rumble of a Eurovision or ASFM thread, maybe. But that's not always the case at every moment.

I think I'd feel awful if I was getting a barrage of negative emoji responses.

I get most of them but can't quite see how often people would need to quickly respond to a post with a :horny:, but maybe I've never quite understood what it means

It's also going to slightly reduce posting levels, but I feel we've gone beyond that now.

I really don't feel strongly, but are you suggesting we remove :manson: altogether?! What's the difference between responding to a post with it and reacting to a post with it?

The shortcut for it is : horny : without the spaces. It's a reaction to a flirtacious post, or at least that's how I use it.

Ah that explains why I never come across it :shy:

Yes keep :eyes: out of it, when I’m HURTING and BULLYING people with an EMOJI, I want it to be EXPLICIT.

I've only used :manson: to react to a poster a couple of times ever. It's essentially as strong a one emoji insult as we have and I don't think we want to have it as one of six or so emojis which we are actively encouraging to used to each other. We should be trying to be nicer than that these days.

This is the integral difference.

Yeah I agree with that.

Let's not forget :manson: is literally Moopy's logo!
Yeah this was my thinking for suggesting it's inclusion. However I take everyone else's point of view and agree that it's best not included.

I'm not as convinced about :eyes: though, it's ludicrously common

:eyes: is borderline these days. It's a bit more OH REALLY? rather than whatever connotations the manson has these days. Manson really is the Moopy version of calling someone a CUNT and meaning it.

I can’t :eyes: this enough.
