Moopy's Greatest Dance Anthems: Semi-Final 4. RESULTS 9pm

The version of Only Love Can Break Your Heart on the YouTube playlist must be from a mix, because you can here Chicane's No Ordinary Morning being teased right near the end.

This we might need to do a chillout rate.

Okay, I've just crunched the numbers, this is the cumulative total of qualifiers per poster:

15 - @Ag
14 - @ButterTart
14 - @Superstylin'
13 - @Rita
10 - @dmlaw
10 - @Tisch
9 - @Alla
8 - @Kate
5 - @big ron
5 - @BoysForSeles
5 - @jyxz
5 - @straightorbroken
3 - @ZenGiraffe
3 - @Zu-Klara
2 - @Lume
1 - @Dark Carnival
1 - @octophone

Only @Lucille and @Alex are yet to get off the starting block, and even then that's because Lucille only submitted two songs, and Alex's one submission is in semi-final 4.

Some of us don't cater to the masses. This isn't my brand and this is not annoying me one little bit so I'm glad I won't be feeling competitive in any way about this :)

Ahem. I think i may need to try "casting" as I'd just woken up for the results and the thought of having to type in each moving entry onto my Switch youtube whilst then posting and occasionally having time to read notifications was rather full on for me. And then I scanned at the playlist and bizarrely didnt see Denise Lopez... she should have opened up her bra.

Terrible, terrible results though.

Oh, and what was the AIDS cure song I was notified TWICE about? I'm guessing High Energy?

DT8 Project - Hold Me ‘Til The End
This one is absolutely gorgeous. I knew of it, I'd just never properly listened to it until now.

Of Roxanne Wilde Destination fame? If so I must seek it out. I was quite into vocal trance at this time. Orion's Hope & Wait was frequently playlists alongside Destination.

I don't really go for Don't Give Me Your Life, but I sometimes forget how good that juicy acid house Visnadi Livin' Joy brothers production really is (speaking of La Bouche, they too feature on Romy & Michelle's blood in my shoe scenes - Read My Lips getting ready and Be My Love at the club). I prefer You Can't Escape My Love, but let's not pretend they don't all sound the same. Last I saw of the singer was promising new material via Mark Lamar informing us whilst she stood proudly in a line of humiliation, desperation and "where are the free Quavers you promised?"

Cant believe you only have two and a half minutes of the Saint Etienne track in the YouTube playlist! Its a 9 minute aural extravaganza. With two halves (hence the mix name).

Good morning, my little club casualties. I've updated the YouTube playlist to add the extended mixes of a couple of the tracks at the end (Southernn Sun and Only Love Can Break Your Heart). If there are any others I've used an edit for that you'd rather hear in all their glory, let me know and I'll pop them on.

Cheers for that.

Generally speaking there's a lot more consensus in this round than in the last couple.

Alex Party sounds VERY French Affair. Are they by the same producer?

I'm not hearing it I'm afraid.

Producer is Visnadi brothers (Livin' Joy self-explanatory, LJ singer Janice Robinson "Children", "Sweetest Day of May", Alison Limerick "Put Your Faith In Me"). Janice loathed them and one of the guys apparently rolled his eyes when a fan asked about Temeka Starr ("Feel the Rhythm"). No idea what the Lady Dhalsim of dance Alison Limerick has to say, but her material with them was atypical of that sound with only a few choice moments.

Thought I couldn't see the video, but it's here hidden behind a generic screengrab indicating otherwise. I love this and it's different enough from Dreamer to make me wish we got more from the project (whilst still getting the likes of Don't Stop Moving and Where Can I Find Love of course).
