1994, Italy, No. 1 smash! Written and performed by future X-Factor reject Janice Robinson, ‘Dreamer’ won Dance Rate 2015. Although lightning hasn’t struck twice, this has been another VERY strong showing. It had to topple the Caramella Girls AND Karen Parry to be here tonight, and that’s not to be sniffed at. It was similarly dethroned in 1994, when it was knocked off the number one spot by musical heavyweights Robson & Jerome.

Can't complain about Todd Terry's Missing remix being here even if it's the one I'd take out first. It's such a beauty and I just adore it on all levels.

Please not Robin S for the win. It would be such an anti-climax for me.

Bet she’d be No.1 if it wasn’t for bloody CORONAVIRUS

But yes Robin S to THE TOP PLS

1993, Italy, No. 2 smash! Corona’s big hitter, and Moopy’s favourite of all their several hits. Ths vocals this time are courtesy of Giovanna Bersola – she’s not credited and doesn’t appear in the video, so it’s safe to assume she’s another bowser. This had the rare privilege of being covered by Cascada. Sadly, it was also subject to a frenzied knifing from Bastille.

Was there really any point putting this through the semi-finals? It’s one of those that deserved to auto-qualify on merit alone. I can’t imagine there have been any decent lists of ‘greatest dance anthems’ that haven’t featured this.

Can I just say I've made myself laugh every time I've described an ugly person as a 'bowser' throughout these write ups? I don't know why, I think I'm hysterical from too much typing.

I remember hearing this on the charts at no.9. Love at first time back in 1994.
