Neighbours DEAD (again)

I'm simply not interested in the new characters, even if some of them are related to Plain Jane Superbrain (old).

I've been watching long enough that I like some of the new characters, but not long enough that I know some of the old returning ones, except the REALLY old ones. It's all very confusing.

He has alopecia.

I also really wish they’d only focus on the old characters. There are quite a lot of lesbians for one street too.
I think it probably is easier to assume that any female in it mid thirties or younger is probably sexually fluid.

I know Neighbours up to about 2007.

Were Jane and Clive together BACK IN THE DAY?

And when I started watching it again at the start of the year, the presence of Rebekah Elmaloglou really confused me. Although I was watching it a good month before I even realised it was her.

I've READ that her cousin is DAME JUDY DENCH!

No, she was with Des, which was tough for Mike to see. Clive had left by then.
Clive and Jane's first appearances did overlap for at least eight months or so but I don't think they had many storylines which coincided.

I did enjoy Mrs Mangel's portrait falling off the wall last week when Jane's son revealed he was an escort.

Poor old Melissa Bell (Lucy) has often given interviews about how she'd love to return to the show full time, and now that's never going to happen :/

Instead all she gets is an episode a year where she turns up to tell Paul he's fucked Lassiters up again, whilst wearing very uncomfortable looking power suits.

I was quite enjoying Glen's initial return, but he very quickly became the show's Dementor. He's yet to crack a single smile this year. That said, I still like him stealing Paul's wife.

They've started doing the same misery job to poor old Amy Greenwood, who in less than a year has gone from having sex parties with all of the hot twenty-somethings, to crying and weeping over bloody Toadie of all people. I'm hoping that isn't really her final storyline.

I was thinking exactly that the other night. From threesomes with Ned and Levi to stirring the honey pot over Toadie in a matter of months. What a downfall.

I suppose she's always got designing horrible wedding dresses to fall back on.

She was a school girl at that point, probably even pre-make-over as she was still Plain Jane Superbrain.

He was only 21 at the start - I thought he was a fair bit older though. Max Ramsay was going on about how he couldn't believe that Clive was a doctor - surely he wouldn't have been qualified at that point.

Speaking of Max Ramsay - I really enjoyed the character - such a pity the actor lost his life so tragically.

So are the Brennan family connected to Beth Brennan? Wiki won't give me the info I want.

I also recall that when Charlene left, the producers brought in a succession of characters in an attempt to emulate the success - Gemma Ramsay, Bronwyn, her sister whose name I forget and Beth Brennan - wasn't she meant to be a builder?

Also are the characters Aaron and Chloe meant to be related to her?

When I restarted watching it I spent a fair amount of time on Neighbours wiki looking at relationships and who was related to who, but it all got very confusing and I thought it was better to enjoy the chaos.

I get the impression that most the cast are connected to the past. Which isn't that greater difference from the other soaps.

Does the school still exist, seeing as everyone seems be at least 25?

Nope

But tbh all of the families are now so inter-mingled they may as well be one.

The Robinsons, Ramsay, Willises, and the new Brennans in particular have all become quite incestuous through several marriages and partner-swaps.

Beth's son Ned was on the show until mere weeks ago, and is confirmed to be back again next week. He's the ex that Toadie was teasing his niece Yashvi about this week.
