Neighbours DEAD (again)

I’ve watched the last two weeks in a few days and I honestly have no idea what’s going on and how it’s all going to be wrapped up tomorrow but I hope it’s a good send off for the old girl.

The flashbacks are quite sweet.
 
Still need to watch todays. I just need to add to my random observations that even about 20ish years since I last watched it, one thing has never changed: Karl and Susan still spend 95% of their time stood behind the kitchen island thing that everyone there has built into their living rooms. Their backs must be knackered!
 
I think it was Neighbours that made me think an open plan kitchen was ever so glamorous and something to aspire to have. Now I just thank God I've got separate room so I can shut the clutter and mess out until I decide to clear it up.
 
I’ve just realised no one I know here nor any of my flats have had an island :o

I had no idea it was a down under thing. How queer.
 
Doesn't it smell? I mean, cooking smells permeate through the house anyway but it's usually pretty strong in the kitchen
 
I have an island and an open plan kitchen/diner. Hepa filters are invaluable.

Watched one of the history videos. So Izzy had an affair with Karl and is now marrying his son? Fucking OOF :D
No wonder Susan's not thrilled!
 
Guy Pearce seems to be getting universal praise for his part in the finale. Just caught todays episode and his scenes with Annie Jones are lovely.

The Mike and Jane reunion is causing genuine tears.
 
It's surprisingly poignant and my 12 year old heart is so happy for Jane.
 
They’ve stopped even trying to contrive reasons for all these people being there. :D
 
My mum who was obsessed in the late 80s and early 90s has just messaged to say she doesn’t have a clue who anyone except Harold is (and that it’s dreadful and she’s going to bed).

Absolutely!! I'm recognising people but having to Google to remind myself of them ( like Clive and des).

I've not watched it for a few years, but seeing all the old faces come back is so emotional and reminds me of my childhood
