I'm loving the soft disco trend of the last 5 years. I hope it doesn't end.

The first was a complete non-event. Take the Sheeran hype out of the equation and what was left?

But yes, that they are choosing this as the follow up doesn't give much hope about what else is left.

I don't think it's really make or break - she got a huge airplay hit from Forget About Us, was #1 for weeks, and it did much better than Leigh Anne's first single. 17 million streams isn't too shabby, I think it's probably a bit unrealistic to expect any of the girls to have the same level of success as a solo artist they had in the band.

I like her new single, I think it could do well on the radio again. Sure, it's nothing new or out of the box, but sometimes that's okay.

And @VoR, as much as I am as big a Louise stan as you, Super Magic has 336k streams, it's hardly a massive hit. Surely if you're okay with Louise's fairly limited success then Perrie is hardly ready for the dumpster.
 
The fact that it had huge airplay but couldn't translate it to streams or sales to any great extent hardly augurs well, particularly for a first single with the hype that attracted.

I think Louise and Perrie are in quite different places in their careers. (For now :basil: )
 
I just don’t think there is a huge appetite for any of them solo, and I find it odd they do get quite a bit thrown at each of them as surely the average music fan doesn’t expect Perrie or LeAnn or whoever to be top ten regulars?

Fully here for supporting home grown acts, but outside of a one off hit that really appeals to the masses it all just seems such an uphill battle to be throwing prime resources at.
 
I'm still holding a sliver of hope that Jade has a Beat Of My Drum in her.
 
Bad Boys is absolutely still the worst thing any of them have released EVER.

I can see Jade having an eye on the kind of thing Beat Of My Drum did. It can't have been further from Perrie's mind.
 
This is ok but yes lacklustre, I can see what they were trying to do but it doesn't go anywhere. Is it going to chart?

- I quite like this. I think it's the 70s revival vibe which I'm very much embracing at the moment. It lacks an oomph but it's much better than the last one. Can't see it saving her solo career mind. She needs a moment.
 
Actually I reckon she should have called Shaznay. Imagine if she'd gotten hold of "Tears On The Floor" or "Supposed To Be" from Shaz's album? BOPS!
 
If this were holding up a new Little Mix album, I'd be more bothered, but it doesn't feel like that's the case...yet. In the meantime, the solo material doesn't seem to be damaging the goodwill towards them, and hopefully, they'll get what they need creatively out of their individual pursuits while remaining a far better commercial prospect together.

It's now my favourite Solo Mix song to date.

Admittedly it's not a high bar to reach, but I am really enjoying the summery 70s vibe.
