Any similarity to the general predictions thread is entirely coincidental

CALL IT

Out

I’ve come in last place in the game both rounds so hopefully I’ll be just as wrong

this is also based on nothing

If it’s actually a good song then I don’t see any reason it can’t at least go to Andra Chansen.

There are already a couple of obvious duds in the mix this week and surely she has a LITTLE bit of goodwill.

AC is entirely possible. I feel like Klara and Emil definitely have more of a mountain to climb, and Alvaro could only manage AC with a brilliant song and his great pal Mendez giving him a boost.

I struggle to see past Tusse and Mustach getting more votes than her, which means it really depends how well the other four perform to give her a path to AC.

I just listened to an interview with her and I did scream when she was jokingly asked if she would have entered as part of Swedish House Wives had she had been asked and she responded: “no, that’s not my cup of tea. When I enter I enter with a long-term plan, I wouldn’t just jump on an opportunity just because it came around” :eyes: DYING for a Pernilla clapback.

What I want to know is where is the 'Predict the fate of Will Young this weekend?' parody thread

With the winner being going to Waitrose

I keep reading the title of this thread as "Predict the fate of Will Young this weekend" at first glance and it's really confusing me.

(Not to self, view new posts before replying - damn you @dUb)

I've gone for AC, I can see anything from 3rd-5th. So at least that worst case scenario would still be a better outcome than 2017 :)

The only things I’m sure about based on the reviews are Tusse qualifying and Emil being dead in the water.

Based on the description of the songs, Elisa SHOULD be a dud with the voters, but then again if we’re relying on the Melfest-nostalgics to turn out and vote for Charlotte then there’s no reason they wouldn’t go for Elisa too.

I think Elisa is dead in the water too if we go by Sonja Alden's votes last year, where she scored ONE point with the 3-9 and 10-15, and even only 8 from her target age groups.

Charlotte has been VERY prolific in the media this year so I don't think it's only nostalgics who would vote for her - I think there's a good chance of a great score in these age categories:

45-59
60-74
75+
Telephone

And then the rest, I think she can beat the more divisive entries like Elisa/Moustach/Emil to at least garner 4 or 6 points. She won't be able to beat Alvaro, Klara or Tusse in these age groups I don't think.

3-9:
10-15
16-29
30-44

So in a way I guess she's more comparable to Anna Bergendahl's voting patterns than anyone I can think of. Children and young people scored Anna really poorly at all opportunities with both her previous entries, but she was so propped up by the other groups.

I think Tusse can be considered a finalist already, and then it's really between Charlotte and Mustach in how they score with the age groups that are our SWING VOTERS.

Is Elisa not the most beloved person in Sweden, though?
She's more loved than Jessica and Sonja even managed 5th with that dread last year!

This is a difficult field to predict as neither Klara, Emil, Elisa nor Mustasch can ride their target audiences to qualification and Alvaro has a history of weak live performances. All of them are very beatable and dependant on delivery.

Thanks for that. I’m glad to know she definitely won’t crash out in 5th.
