:D Very posh and pricey is Ritazza. Sometimes they will accept an actual ARM or LEG as payment for one of their creamy specials
Presumably said limb then goes straight into the Baguettes de Jambon?

Slice it thinly and tell them it’s CONTINENTAL and the more provincial customer will snap it up without any suspicion that they’re tucking into REMAINS :disco:

Ooh Southampton station! The happy hours I spent there back in the day WISHIN' and HOPIN' for the OTHER HALF OF THE TRAIN to show up so we could HEAVE ON UP TO BASINGSTOKE

There's a spectacularly ugly brutalist building (I think flats) right opposite Southampton Central. I was quite taken with it.

Wyndham Court, apparently. Looks like it's quite well known, but I wasn't aware of it until we went for the day a couple of months ago.

Supposedly Wyndham Court was supposed to "represent" the cruise ships that often dock in the city

HA!

The Pumpkin at Chesterfield Station is permanently closed

Dreadful
Worst bacon roll ever! Half a slice of luke warm bacon warmed in the microwave. Took one bite and that was enough. Would highly recommend looking elsewhere.

YUK: Zilch Health & Safety...
Ordered coffee here yesterday.
Sat down to relax before a long train journey home.
Some workmen arrived to ‘hoover’ dust from the vents above the tables... they began climbing a ladder to unscrew these vents right by me & then asked me to MOVE as I was in their way!
I was really angry with this: the Cafe was a FOOD & BEVERAGE establishment so where was the HEALTH & SAFETY/FOOD HYGIENE risk assessment here?
There wasn’t one.
Removing FILTHY DUST VENTS above customers heads while consuming food and close to counters where food was on trays to purchase?
DISGUSTING behaviour, practices & no Health & safety let alone manners towards me as a customer.
Never Again would I patron this place.
YUK ;(
I’d give it ZERO but it won’t let me....

The review title says withOUT bacon and there is bacon in the picture so he’s clearly dragging their good name with lies :(

Bonsoir, Wigan

Poor
I dont imagine for 1 minute a review here would make the slightest difference to this outlet which is so poor. Guy very pleasant (:eyes: ) but thats where it ends. The place is dismal - poor lighting most bulbs out poor seating an untidy shelf arrangement. little adverts stickers and notices all over the place. The whole place is a mini disaster. Now the coffee - well I am a coffee drinker and I hate paying inflated prices £3+ for a SMALL cup of brown dish water. I have no idea what I drank but it wasnt coffee. Dreadful. Fo outside the station and find a Nero or Costa (💅 ). Easy

Terrible staff - terrible attitude
I asked for a large paper cup for my TWO 500ml drinks I had bought, a simple request I thought - "Not allowed to give large cups out, only this" (small cup received) but she was so rude with it, like I was a pest! So I had to keep filing up the small cup! Really?
She needs to remember she is the face of Pumpkin Cafe, obviously not employed for helpfulness or personality. It's no wonder the shop was empty! As somebody else has mentioned, captive market - but this doesn't excuse the terrible attitude. If you don't like working there, then let somebody work there who does.
Compare that to the Gregg's at Birmingham Station (💅 ) - perfect!!

Sad cafe
This is a dismal run down little cafe, but the only place to get refreshments as you wait for the London train.
I bought a disappointing so-called ‘breakfast butty’ - that wasn’t buttered! - and an insipid cup of tea. The apparently disinterested staff seem to hide at the back, maybe they are embarrassed by the quality of food and service.
The sugar sachets are mixed in with an inch of loose sugar that is contaminated by customers hands when they take a sachet. :wownic:

This place could be so much better with a little care.
