Particularly pleasing as part of me was still expecting them to reveal there was multiple hours between them all and it was all in the edit.

Yeah I really warmed to the poshos, Carolines emancipation from the drudgery of upper class boredom should grate on me, but I was happy for her. I hope she sacks off upper middle class life, becomes an ageing hippy and ends up living in a vegan polycule with a younger yoga teacher and a ket habit.
 
4.2m in the overnights, up 0.5m on last year.

So far it's been the #1 show each week of its run, except Eurovision week.

I've seen a fair but of this negative chat on twitter as well following the last episode, and tried to be a little more aware of it in the final (which probably isn't the best episode to do it for), but i still can't really see it. Or at least, it certainly didn't feel too much for me.

And with the series continuing to grow, even if it is true, I really don't see the next series being any lighter on it.
 
I wonder how many views the old series will get on iPlayer now? I think they are all there. I may be inclined to revisit one myself.
 
Loved the reunion glow ups. Yin looked incredible.

The behind the scenes workings feel drip fed as ever but have they showed before the bigger camera and production teams at the checkpoint?
 
Omg I didn't realise there was a reunion.

I liked every couple in the end. The sisters storyline was a bit dull but they were still nice.

Brian and Melvyn were the clear stars but I grew to really like the posh mum and son by the end.

I just feel like I want this go even MORE In-depth. The logistics of it sounds insane and it’s almost a full year production from start to finish? Which obviously shows in the quality of the show.

We need better couples next time, don't get rid of the only couple half way through, and delete the need for sob stories all the fucking time. This was the worst series by a long way.

I appreciate Tom's dick pics on LPSG though.

It'll be interesting to see the route they take given presumably they won't go through Russia but I also thought that the BBC were generally not allowed into Iran (unless they take the Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan ferry again like in Series 1)
 
I had to put the subtitles on for the Scousers.

I was going to say there are a lot of young ones but then I saw the cousins are actually in their 30s, so I suppose it might not be that different from normal.
 
After not finishing Iast year's celeb series I thought I might be at RATW fatigue, but I loved ep one of this. Great casting. My early favourites are Mark and Margo.

I agreed with the scousers not lending the tenner
 
The scouse children were quite wicked, it has to be said. Hopefully this moment was included as the starting point of a narrative of them discovering COMRADERY and we're not going to see them putting thumb tacks in people's walking boots.

Really enjoyed this episode though and looking forward to the series as a whole.

The boys clearly didn't get the memo that couples on this show are destined to be FRIENDS FOR LIFE

They came across well otherwise, it did feel a bit unnecessary for leg one.
 
I thought Finance Bro might have figured out it’ll get cheaper the furthest east they go.

Quite enjoyed the Scouse friends having a little tiff. I’d have deffo been reacting the same way.

Just catching up with both episodes now, and I thought exactly this. It was a dick move that I'd only consider if I knew I'd be gaining significant advantage from it, and even then don't think I'd do it. But perhaps I would at their age.

The series is so well cast, though. It's successful at giving me reasons to like all of them.
