RANDOM THINGS YOU HATE

People who endlessly continue banal conversations. I don’t want to ghost anyone because I was raised right, and I also don’t want to say “please stop talking, I am bored to tears” because that’s rude too. What’s left?

So I leave it as long as I can before replying, and they always reply back within 5 seconds, and we’re back to the start.

It’s an etiquette hostage situation

The absolute worst are the ones who you very politely listen to their shit on a constant basis, but the second maybe one of your stories or comments starts to ramble a bit, they shoot you down quite rudely.

I don’t know if it’s my fever or just not having anything to do except stare at social media, but the more I post in this thread the more I think of until I just want to *SCREEEEEEEEE*

The fact that I've only ever had a tweet with more than 100-200 likes a couple of times before. Yesterday I tweeted something that is at 2,500 likes and counting (throwaway comment on a Pixar film) and my phone has gone mental. I don't want to turn off notifications because it's not going to be a regular thing.

How do popular people cope?

I believe that verified accounts get different options to help with that (such as only getting notifications when other verified accounts interact with the tweet), but yes it must be quite a lot to deal with :o

The general standards of customer service and attitude from the staff in Sainsbury’s. They’re not all awful but most of them are, and this isn’t just one branch I’m talking about

To think that it used to be one of the more HIGH END shopping experiences :(

Tinder’s “This user is really popular, give them a SUPER like!” feature

THANKS FOR THE CONFIDENCE LOVE

Impractical burgers

The whole point is that you’re able to pick it up and eat it, otherwise why bother with the bread? Gigantic burgers (which are quite vulgar anyway), or ones overflowing with sauce, or even worse DRIZZLED WITH SAUCE
Possibly one for the @Alias #23 HANDY TIPS LOUNGE but this top burger tip from pop chanteuse Debbie Gibson has been saved in my Good Advice Filofax for years.

People being condescending :)

If this self-aggrandising cunt who’s got the permanent job with these cunts (thank God - I’ve had enough of them) tries it with me one more time I am going to email her to say FUCK OFF

“I’ll proof read what you sent to make sure you’ve answered the questions correctly” indeed. My JOB is to ANSWER FUCKING QUESTIONS CORRECTLY!

Also she uses EMOJIS in emails :)

Yesterday;

Me: “I’ve been doing this for ten years.”

Her: “I’ve been doing it for TWENTY years.” :)

Also she apparently likes to organise a TEAM HUDDLE

DROP DEAD NOW

Oh it’s very…

"Really? I got syphilis once in Top Shop"
"Really? I had syphilis Stage 3"

Getting ever closer to telling this condescending twat to SUCK IT

"Can you send me an appendix matrix so there's no confusion about which question each appendix relates to?"

There's ONE appendix and the file name deliberately contains the NUMBER OF THE QUESTION! :argh:

Also she apparently likes to organise a TEAM HUDDLE

Oh GOD, I hate those. Worse was "a Team Five" as in five minutes as in "this will be quick so shut and listen and no questions or any shit like that".

The one tiny positive Covid put into my life was not having to put up with that shit any more.

Accidentally swiping left on Tinder then MATCHING with said person 🥴

I managed to maintain my professional composure (sort of - I did scream "I'm sick of that fucking Barbara Big Bollocks" to one of her colleagues) and DIDN'T send an email saying "FUCK OFF" to my new favourite person and BFF

WELL DONE ME :disco:

IDIOTS at work.

This week - Person does something spectacularly wrong. It’s pointed out to their manager. Person says there’s no formal literature saying not to do that. Their manager approaches me asking for a full guide on the process. There is ALREADY a comprehensive guide on what to do and how to do it. Their manager wants it more detailed to tell them what NOT to do.

WHY? I can’t predict every scenario of what random shit people are going to do against the actual process. Should I just list a million random things like “make sure not to shit on your keyboard while at work” just so THAT is covered too?
