I've developed a pet hate for certain COVID restrictions that i'm fairly sure make absolutely no difference in transmission. They seem a dreadful hangover from the beginning of the pandemic, that haven't been updated to reflect the science as we've learned more about the virus.
For example, I went to the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh last week with my aunt and uncle. Had a suitcase with my as I was getting the train after. Didn't go around as I was just visiting the cafe but I notice that they have a blanket ban on people using the lockers because of COVID. All I could think was that no-one is getting COVID because they used a fucking LOCKER.
Similarly, my friend told me recently that she had asked for a keyboard to use with her laptop when she goes into the office and her work insisted on a shit, folding keyboard that is impossible to use because keyboards are hard to clean and if she left hers in the office someone else might use it.
STOP BEING RIDICULOUS
