Rare Peruvian Saturday found on RCA Victor label

We've got a 60th party. She's a lovely lady. There's the threat/ promise of spoken word and poetry, plus an auction of promises. And I'm not drinking at the moment.

Thoughts and prayers please.

Another Saturday, another record fair.

The thing with a record fair, is what IS there in 2024 for someone to buy? Isn’t it mostly even higher priced than online?

I dare you to stand up and say a really inappropriate poem.

Usually, but not always. He's managed to get that Winner Takes It All gatefold pop up thing for half the price of the cheapest on discogs.

Let's just gloss over the fact HE FUCKING HAS IT ALREADY SO WHAT'S THE FUCKING POINT

Discogs is full of delusional wankers. Mate of mine bought an LP where the cover was described as NM - it had water damage and a 3-inch wide tear across the artwork. :)

I try to be a super honest seller on Discogs but, yes, generally there are some utter cocks on it.

I’ve got 100% rating with 1200 sales, though (actually more sales, cause loads don’t give you feedback) so I must be doing something right.

I always message and ask for photos if I'm buying anything of value. You only make the mistake once.

Actually @Sheena, your advice please.

There's a German 7" boxset I'm considering. It's €379, open to offers. What's an offer as a seller you'd potentially be open to and that wouldn't rub you up the wrong way and tell the buyer to fuck off? Am I chancing it with €300?

I remember when my friend was a stage management student at Guildhall (alongside Orlando Bloom, no less), I used to go visit her and the halls were full of people practising their scales. I used to find it rather lovely when i was there. She said the novelty wore thin quite quickly.

I just saw Thangam Debbonaire walking outside the restaurant where we're having lunch. Perhaps she's come from the job fair.

She was in a green hoodie. Not very ministerial at all.

I don't actually do offers because I price fairly low anyway...

I would say tyhere is nothing wrong with 300 as a starting point. I wouldn't accept it, but it's a good enough jumping off place.

My parents got here today, I just wish they had said "we left later, we'll arrive around 17:30" instead of yesterday's "we should be there around 14:30" and then absolute radio silence all day.

It's literally the last summer weekend and I spent half of today waiting at home. :zombie:

@lolly I would go in at 265 and see what they say.
See I was thinking something like that as a start in the hope of settling somewhere between, but part of me thinks it's too low and I'll just be met with a 'no thanks', rather than a negotiation.

Even if you do get a straight no you can go back. People aren't going to turn down money once it reaches an acceptable offer.

On discogs you can only make one offer though. It's not like Ebay where you can go back and forth a few times.

Well tonight was tough avoiding booze. So many bottles available and it was definitely needed.

Thankfully, mostly due to Mr Ag, I got through and have survived the first weekend of the month sober.

Well, that's a crappy setup. Can you give the seller your phone number and take the negotiations offline?
I guess you could, but you'd lose the protection from buying online. Unless you can persuade them to relist it, I suppose.

Like equally the seller only had once chance. I’d be lowballing the fuck out of it

Unless you pay through PayPal as that still offers protection.
