Another Saturday, another record fair.
I dare you to stand up and say a really inappropriate poem. We've got a 60th party. She's a lovely lady. There's the threat/ promise of spoken word and poetry, plus an auction of promises. And I'm not drinking at the moment.
Thoughts and prayers please.
Usually, but not always. He's managed to get that Winner Takes It All gatefold pop up thing for half the price of the cheapest on discogs. The thing with a record fair, is what IS there in 2024 for someone to buy? Isn’t it mostly even higher priced than online?
I always message and ask for photos if I'm buying anything of value. You only make the mistake once.Discogs is full of delusional wankers. Mate of mine bought an LP where the cover was described as NM - it had water damage and a 3-inch wide tear across the artwork.![]()
So CULTUREDAn OPERA SINGER has moved next door.

Love to MAMA DOODLEMy Mum's operation was a success! She was home by 7pm. I have just spoken to her; she is in fine spirits and feeling super positive.
I’m in the ever so glamorous HORNSEA
Did we ever work out if it’s the same park as my GRANDPARENTS?Oh that’s where my parent’s CARAVAN is!

Just had to help a man in the changing rooms who was stuck in his t-shirt.
Actually @Sheena, your advice please.
There's a German 7" boxset I'm considering. It's €379, open to offers. What's an offer as a seller you'd potentially be open to and that wouldn't rub you up the wrong way and tell the buyer to fuck off? Am I chancing it with €300?

See I was thinking something like that as a start in the hope of settling somewhere between, but part of me thinks it's too low and I'll just be met with a 'no thanks', rather than a negotiation.@lolly I would go in at 265 and see what they say.

On discogs you can only make one offer though. It's not like Ebay where you can go back and forth a few times.Even if you do get a straight no you can go back. People aren't going to turn down money once it reaches an acceptable offer.
Well, that's a crappy setup. Can you give the seller your phone number and take the negotiations offline? On discogs you can only make one offer though. It's not like Ebay where you can go back and forth a few times.
I guess you could, but you'd lose the protection from buying online. Unless you can persuade them to relist it, I suppose.Well, that's a crappy setup. Can you give the seller your phone number and take the negotiations offline?
