What was the reaction to this album like say the time? Was it considered a disappointment?

She was a wet blanket throughout the promo. She was clearly desperate to leave the label by then. In one of the interviews she basically even suggested this album was a contractual obligation.

a total wet fart of an album that even without any absolute clangers (except that awful christian ballad) manages to suck the air out of the room in spectacularly DULL fashion. it really does go out on its highest moment, so at least there's a reason to listen to the end.

The quality control drop off from ROL to this is ASTOUNDING and OFFENSIVE

My iTunes library took me to 'The Reason' by Celine after this - because Let's TALK ABOUT LOVE is the next album down I guess.

Now that's a... change of gears. And whilst I normally have no time for Miss Dion doing her Carole King thing, it does feel like a good palate cleanser after that closing track
