No, just February and once again in April, sorry xAnyone been to Bali in marchis it nice?
ANOTHER HOLIDAY?
The best period is between June and September but March is still ok. Bali has decent weather pretty much all year, except maybe December and January.Anyone been to Bali in marchis it nice?
We're tagging it onto our Australia and New Zealand holiday in JanuaryANOTHER HOLIDAY?
Thank you! I read march is the end of the wet season so wasn't sure if it would still be a lot of rain. The best period is between June and September but March is still ok. Bali has decent weather pretty much all year, except maybe December and January.
Couldn't be more wrong I'm afraid. She's from a very poor family, and she works 3 jobs to get enough money for our holidays.I'm going to presume Mandy has a comfortable background.
I went in September and it still rained. You will get rain regardless. It just doesn’t usually rain all day.Thank you! I read march is the end of the wet season so wasn't sure if it would still be a lot of rain.

The only reason we can afford them is because our mortgage is £300 a month, and we don't really spend much on eating or drinking out.

Exactly. Everyone assumes we're loaded. We're not, we just have a ridiculously small mortgage and no dependants. If my mortgage was £300 a month I'd be in Bali too![]()

If Mandy and I go on a holiday that costs £1000 each, that's £4000 for a couple with 2 older kids.
Yeah I feel for you, and all parents. Plus you have to go in school holidays which is way more expensive. Mandy and I can go in much cheaper times.Totally! I'm looking at a week for next summer and I'm struggling to get change for 5k. Which is ridiculous. That's why we've only had one overseas family holiday.
Thank youAnyway you do you Rachey. I've learnt that people look at the end product and make assumptions, not realising the journey you've been on to get there.
Thank youand yes I agree ! It annoys me that people, in real life not just Moopy, assume we're ridiculously rich and the fudge shop is making millions.
The reality couldn't be further from the truth. We just choose what we spend our money on wisely.

Yes, this! I completely sympathise. People forget how much a coffee a day from the local cafe costs, or how a meal deal a day adds up, or a drink after work turns into 3, a takeaway a week etc.I posted a picture of my garden in our work group chat as I got some vouchers and had spent them on a new lawn mower. Anyway later on I heard comments about how I must be loaded as I lived in a mansion - although how you can tell that by looking at some grass I don't know... I felt like telling them there's a reason I'm eating a home made peanut butter sandwich every day while they have £15 lunches![]()
If you take the kids out of school for less than five consecutive days you dont get finedTotally! I'm looking at a week for next summer and I'm struggling to get change for 5k. Which is ridiculous. That's why we've only had one overseas family holiday.
But then anywhere is better than CostaI'm not a huge fan of Caffè Nero, but their amaretto mince pies really are the FESTIVE TITS![]()
I don't mind a Costa. But we don't have many chain coffee shops on the island, it's mostly independent. And a lot use a local island coffee and it's not strong enough. But then anywhere is better than Costa
Omg that is so good!Costa do a Terry's Chocolate Orange Hot Chocolate during Christmas that I need to actively stop myself getting every day. It's addictive
We've got one here not that I've been inIs Knoops national? Definitely my hot chocolate cafe of choice.
If you fancy an overpriced beverage and pretending you can tell the difference between a 72% single origin Peru and a 73% single origin Philippines, I do recommend it.We've got one here not that I've been in
