A very poor trailer, but pleasingly Gale popped up approx half a second after I shouted "WHERE THE FUCK IS GALE WEATHERS?"

I'm hoping the fact that she's barely in it, and the rest of the trailer is underwhelming, is because they're having to hold back lots for plot reasons.

I quite liked the trailer. No iconic lines but it looked quite fun, and Sydney has a never mentioned before adult daughter who can carry on the franchise.

I thought with Kevin Williamson coming back on board it would deliver something a bit different but Ghostface hunting down Sidney and her kid? Yawn.

I’m hoping there’s more to it than that.

Well they painted themselves into a corner by firing Melissa Barrera (the initial script for part 7 was supposedly about Sidney and Sam being hunted by two different killers). Jenna Ortega didn't want to come back either, so they resorted to focusing on Neve Campbell again.
I guess they could have made Gale and/or the twins (who should all be dead after their injuries in the last film) the main protagonists, but I don't think that would have been much of a draw either.

I'm not watching that trailer because I came across too many spoilers already, have to resist reading the gossip and rumours about this film.

Her daughter has been mentioned before, it just wasn’t the babies she was pushing in a stroller when she first came back into 5. She has more than one child

It’s a fantastic trailer!! Are you on glue!
Right? I was just thinking how much of a return to form this looks after 6 just killed a bunch of bit-players who didn't even have lines while letting the main cast all live.

It looks a lot more mean spirited, which is exactly what I want from Scream.

I was at the cinema with a self-screamfessed Scream fan who said they have many theories about the trailer. I immediately steered the convo elsewhere as I'd like to be surprised and reckon this trailer will be trying to get people to guess the wrong things already.b

Not watching that trailer, I need to see this without having more of it spoilt. And yes, I won't be able to resist seeing it despite what went down before production started.

It's probably gonna be frontloaded. But who knows these days, the zios might make it the most successful film of the franchise in the end..

Currently rewatching all of these and I have to say, 4 is a lot better than I remembered it to be. I'll rank them when I've made it to 6, but I expect it will come in as my second or third favourite. The killer in 4 is fantastic and there are moments of high camp.

Neve Campbell is not the sole guest on the sofa with other guests on the Jonathan Ross show tonight.

Oh definitely, the genuinely nasty and cruel Judy/Wes double kill was worth it on its own. Plus, the characters were still fresh and hadn't completely outstayed their welcome yet like they did in 6 (Samantha aside).
I like the final act, it's a lot of fun, but the lack of chase scenes, bad editing and ugly cinematography annoy me. And Stu's house looks like a soundstage.

Finally we’re getting announcements of merchandise at the UK cinemas :disco:
