Sinéad O’Connor DEAD

I’d be happier with her full discography finally getting onto streaming rather than them exhuming whatever she recorded in her final months.

Sean nos noa in particular is a real loss.

Imagine being around when she first came onto the scene: it must have been thrilling.
Seeing this thread bumped, and this post particularly made me think of when I first saw her live, in the glamorous(recently demolished) Newport Centre in April 1990.

Nothing Compares 2 U would have only recently left #1 at this point, and IDNWWIHG was released about a month previously, so she was pretty much as big as she ever was at that point. I'd only loved very straightforward pop until I discovered her via ITV's short lived 'The Roxy' in 1998 performing Mandinka.

God, she was electrifying.

3 years and 2 months ago 💭 I was thinking of her in the past few days, also with learning more about respiratory conditions (knowing that it was an exacerbation of COPD and bronchial asthma that ended her life 💔 ). But just how powerfully Sinéad expressed her trauma through the voice 🗣🎶❕ and regardless of reputation, she did things through her own will and sense of justice, and helped so many others feel heard. 🥲♡🌠
