Morning Moopiez, time to rise and shine and X-X-press-your-self :disco:

FREE YOUR MIND AND FREE YOUR BODY

I haven't exactly done that today, I was tired but still woke up at 6.30, buggered around on my phone for a bit and did my ironing while I watched Drag Race Down Under :zombie:

It's pissing down outside so I will make a video and try to think of something, ANYTHING, to do instead of go to the gym

I’m still up and drunk and my movers are getting here in 6 hours. Tomorrow will be miserable

MORNING.

I have been quite productive this morning. I went for a run, have prepared Sunday lunch, and organised someone to come and decorate the whole house inside and out for Christmas next month. If it is going to be my last Christmas here I might aswell go out with a bang and make sure you can see the lights on my house from space. :disco: :santa:

MORNING.

I am currently dealing with a very angry cat who doesn't want to let me anywhere near him, even to feed him.

And he was meant to be the nice one of the two :manson:
He will go to his food eventually, just give it time.

MORNING.

Listening to The Beatles this morning. I got the "Let It Be" boxset for under £40 (it was £100 when it was released) and I'm just seeing if the Bluray works. I don't have speakers hooked up to my telly so it's kinda lost on me but hey ho.

Oh bless him. What are you trying to do with him?

I'm in an Aldi car park in Brecon and I've just watched a lady spend 10 minutes trying to get into a parking space. There's 3 spaces next to each other. It was painful to watch.

And this is why I don't drive, because I'd be exactly the same and I don't like to be judged.

My flatmate has got his volume ALL THE WAY UP while he listens to the most vapid TikTok nonsense in his room. EUGH.

He just got the cats yesterday, so I'm guessing it's just nerves that'll go away once they settle in 🐈
Ah yes, I wasn't sure if he was having to medicate them or something.

Cats can take weeks to calm and settle.

We've managed to prove everyone wrong with heathcliff, he's known to be a very aggressive cat but he's been amazing for his injections. He's just all mouth.

My parents have delivered Feliway and they were both great when they were over, so it's just giving them the space to explore and get used to the place ATM.

I’m working again tonight, which I don’t mind, but it’s getting up at 7am tomorrow morning which is not going to be fun :(

Well I’ve just put the iPhone in the washing machine.

I realised about 30 minutes in, luckily I’d turned off the washing machine so I could hear the sound made from find my iPhone. When I couldn’t hear it I rummaged through the clothes to find it in there and miraculously STILL ON.

Do you think it will be ok? I’ve turned it off and thrown it rice until tomorrow.

iPhones are a lot more durable than they used to be so maybe?

A quick google suggests they’re somewhat WATERPROOF, and I guess the fact it was still functioning when I took it out is a good sign.

Luckily/unfortunately I have to go to work anyway so it’ll be a distraction

That cat communication documentary on Netflix might be basic, but when I met my friend's new cat my under hand offering to it worked really well and my friend was quite shocked that I even gave it the time of day (I love wild cats, formerly my favourite to watch until Orcas just got too tactical etc, but domestic scratch machines, I mean cats, have always scared me). The programme also showed you an owner taming wild kittens and I'd definitely use their approach for feeding and having them let you pet them etc.

Oh and hello, hello, hello.

I think the rice is a myth anyway so just as well!

It absolutely isn’t. I’ve saved an iPhone with rice.

Also save all those little silica gel bags you get in things as they’re even better.

But yes, they’re waterproof for a certain period of time now so hopefully it’s fine

I think it’s more the fact that people put them in rice and just leave them alone for a while instead of trying to turn them on and fucking them further. I can’t remember what the alternative was, so this is fairly useless, but putting it in rice also has the risk of getting bits of rice and dust in the ports

I think it’s widely accepted the rice draws out the moisture from the phone. I’ve done it before and noticed the rice is damp after a while.
