it's the NEW NORMAL here. it's super easy to split bills, lend someone a penny, and a lot of small independent business prefer it to cards to avoid paying a lot of fees

mind you, I only got the app on my iPad that can only be used at home because I don't have a smartphone so I carry cash most of the time anyway. but this country is fast moving towards cashless conditions
