Tennis 2026

Queens really needs a roof on centre court. The stacked up last few days are going to be chaotic and likely cause some injuries.

Mboko confirmed OUT of Wimbledon

play starts in 10 mins at queen's with round of 16 AND QFs scheduled to play today, with a "suitable rest" in between :eyes:
Shame for Mboko. Playing 2 matches in one day is not unheard of for a tour event, players will be fine with it.

Once in Scottsdale Ai Sugiyama played 2 singles and a doubles in one day and won both events doing it.

Also subscribed to the Dan Evans is a bellend club. Just remember him doing an interview at an event and referred to all the male players by name but referred to Radwanska as “that Polish chick” as if he didn’t know who the world number 2 was.

Boulter takes the first set vs Rybakina! :disco: Elena had it well in control, she really let Katie back in. cmon PLUCKY BRIT let's go for the upset :disco:

Boulter taking down Rybakina, wow! She has a habit of downing seeds on the grass but then not being able to follow it up. Pliskova and Badosa at Wimbledon spring to mind.

I was out and missed the last set but gagged when I saw the result. she played five sets of tennis today so tomorrow could be a challenge. but she has to have a good shot against Vekic.

Vekic also played 5 sets and was on court an hour longer.

And just like that, the medical timeout for Emma.
Jennifer Lawrence Oops GIF

Donna’s a very good grass court player though, her flat groundies are ideal for it. Still time though.

yesterday will have taken it out of Katie. still a great run and good Wimbledon prep though. hopefully she'll play Eastbourne too

I didn't say anything about Vekic :D give me a break!!

Boulter was flat because she was tired, that much is obvious. if Donna wasn't tired then... great!!! she's superwoman.

Emma is also playing next week in Nottingham having originally chosen to appear in Berlin. Faces a qualifier in the first round, and potentially Leylah Fernandez in round 2.

Harriet Dart vs Katie Boulter in round 1 should be spicy. :eyes:

Harriet seems to get even more infuriated and poisonous when playing Boulter so prob worth a watch for that alone.

I'd be worried for Emma against Jovic
I would ordinarily have Jovic as the nailed on winner but it looks like she is playing her doubles semi final before playing Emma which might just give Emma an advantage if the match is played tonight

Ok scratch this. Seems they have put the singles match on first after all. The schedule said otherwise earlier.
