Oh, and, I genuinely thought Reform might win this when Andy Burnham skedaddled to become an MP and PM, so this is heartening.

 
Reform lady was QUITE CAMP. Could be Jane Horrocks playing a fascist in a Russell T Davies drama. How marvellous she's been kicked to the curb

Farage is the first by-election winner not to attend his declaration since Bobby Sands.
 
63% is a fair bit lower for him than I'd have expected in these circumstances, given it's the kind of seat he should be rampaging home in.

For all the bluster from him about how this by-election was a "genius move" the main parties fucked up on because it meant he could get so much data he wouldn't need to spend much time fighting in Clacton at a general election (something a party leader shouldn't really need to be doing anyway...), if the Tories can find the right candidate they should really be able to run him close there.
 
I see they made up some SHITE about the police advising him not to attened the declaration. They just didn't want a picture of him surrounded by a load of comedy candidates, showing him in the company he SHOULD be keeping.
 
All this has done is damaged his image further, the fact that 1 in 3 people would rather vote for a bin or some other joke candidate is hillarious. Then making up a lie because you know you look like a right daft cunt. Delicious.

Oh and the investigation has already reopened. I said it a long time ago that Reform would be the downfall of Reform.
 
Farage is like those scumbags who refuse to attend court for their sentencing. Only some of them are nicer people.
 
27% is a great vote for (an admittedly high profile) joke candidate.

Shame on Farage for not turning up. People of Clacton, how many times do you need to be fooled?

Clacton really deserve the WORST (apart from the Binface voters - have them moved into the nicer parts of the town please).

This is the right wing playbook at its most transparent. Just keep saying the same things over and over and over no matter how stupid they look in the circumstances. Farage couldn't be more establishment with a sincere effort (an effort he has, of course, made) but he has to keep repeating the lie that everyone else - whoever they are - are "the establishment" and he's the rebel otherwise his whole schtik dissolves. And we're watching it dissolve.
 
Farage's elections results for the commons now stands at W2, L7.

I reckon he's going to hold another 6 by-elections before 2029 just to make it look like he's a winner.
