Absolutely loved this series. Kudrow was simply phenomenal - so glad she made this though I do fear it'll be the last we see of our Val.

Favourite line of this episode: "you know what, I don't do backdoor so I'm sure that's a big letdown for you".
 
Having just watched the 'Notable UK deaths in 2014' tribute on the BBC News site, I suddenly remembered who the character of Mickey reminded me of - Kenny Ireland's delightful turn as the actor who played the handyman Derek in 'The Making of Acorn Antiques'.

Kudrow really does deserve an Emmy (and a Peoples Choice voted for by the people) for such a brilliant performance. So glad Valerie redeemed herself in the end. I agree it was wonderful with the shift from Jane's video footage to the standard cinematic film.

Again, Mickey got the line of the episode with his 'if the meds don't kill me then the hair will'.

Also :D at the famed Cherish pout on the red carpet!

Quite possibly my favourite show of all time.
 
I agree with Phoenix. A third season in 10 years time would be wonderful, but not before. Season 2 was better than the first I think.
 
Thought the final episode was one of the most fantastic, funny, moving pieces of TV I've seen of any genre. Kudrow was utterly sensational. The shift from Jane's footage to standard film was inspired.
 
The finale was life-affirming. I thought Mickey was a goner, and the relief, joy, heartache and happiness packed into it was incredible never mind the fact that it was also toe-curling and hilarious (which most of the time are the same thing here). There may have been echoes of season 1, but not once did this series rest on its laurels in a pandering way, it all felt so perfect. I don't even feel I've took all of it in. And reading Lisa's interview there, it's quite clear so much thought went into it, and that they both get a huge kick out of Val (who it turns out can kick back). Paulie G trying and failing to get a 'must-have' moment was just the icing on the cup-cake.

I cried at the last episode. Loved series 2 so much - so many laugh-out-loud moments and, as with Kath and Kim, will reward upon repeat viewings.
 
This is confirmed for a third season whenever Lisa and Michael Patrick King feel like it.
 
I've been re-watching season 2. As to be expected, so much I didn't pick up on at the time, it's as if the real punchlines only ooze out after time.

Glad it's something they'll be doing when they're ready, I'd feel rushed even as a viewer if they were to be quick avkyt it (for the same reason as above really). I wonder if the changes to her hair will be as drastic as the first and final seasons of I'm It.

YES!

It was on Sky Atlantic and you can download it from Amazon. Bizarrely there seems to be no DVD release.
 
I keep waiting for them to release it on bluray with seasons 1 but HBO have a weird strategy with their releases.
 
There's been a lot of publicity about the Friends (sans Perry) reunion for the Jimmy Burrows tribute and the Will and Grace cast are reuniting for it too. I'd like to think Valerie would be trying to get the Room & Bored cast together to show their gratitude, with whoever played Big Dick Perkins making an appearance too.
 
I'm wondering when we'll hear about the next season.

This is quite literally the best news of my week/month/year

Definitely one of the Top 10 best shows ever made. Yeah I said it.
 
I wonder if there’s any moopers who haven’t seen this yet. The greatest thing about The Comeback is that it isn’t just one of the best written shows - the satire, the parody, the unbelievable observational comedy - but it’s also one of the most perfectly acted pieces of television I’ve ever seen from any actor.

Lisa Kudrow should have won every award for this show.
