This Tory Party conference has taken things to the next level. I’m usually able to let a lot of this stuff wash over me but it is making me truly angry. I work in policy (outside rather than inside government) and up to this point I have just about been able to work with the assumption that behind the scenes, civil servants and lower level ministers might just about be interested in actually doing something to make something better but this conference has really crossed over a line for me. Hard to believe anymore that the party has interest in anything other than fascism and lies. When do the few credible media sources and the likes of the organisation I work for just draw a line?

We need a Rock The Vote type movement for the next election because it’s not enough that the social media generation likes and comments on this shower; they need to care enough to vote and they don’t.
