Nicola Sturgeon has published figures showing the vaccine rollout is going to be a bit stilted over the next few weeks, which will supposedly be reflected throughout the UK. However the target of all of the most vulnerable being vaccinated by mid-February should still be met.

2.64 million vaccinations have been given in the UK.

Meanwhile Angela Merkel has told her MPs that Germany may not have "sufficient stocks" of the vaccine for a proper rollout until July. So far 750,000 people have been vaccinated in Germany.

Italy has given the second most vaccinations in Europe (788,000).

Have to say I do feel jealous

I'm desperately trying to get on a list to get mine done and just not getting anywhere. My work borough has been slow to process it all and as of yesterday the central place didn't even have this borough registered, let alone then getting us onto the register. I had a feeling this would happen

I just think you've got a bad attitude, to be honest. Like the D*ily M*il proudly proclaims, there are 21 million doses in the UK, so you have 21 million reasons to be cheerful. It's downright selfish that you're expecting them to be actually in people. Or expecting your employer to give a shit about you. You're a resource to be exhausted. Know your place.

They were encouraging staff booked in for next week to walk in today.

I'm now registered on 3 lists, still waiting to be offered an appointment though. Hopefully something will come through this week. It is really frustrating we're being ignored considering how we close with work with the public.

That is a very precise time slot.

My arm didn't really ache at all afterwards, certainly much less than it usually does for the flu jab. I had a bit of a muzzy head the next day but otherwise all good.

Yes, I felt the same. I was told by the GP who is doing the main hub here that they are well covered at present, it's when it moves to the lower priority tiers that he thinks I'll be most useful, so I asked the coordinator to keep me in mind for Fridays.

I feel better for myself/ my family certainly. But I won't stop fighting the battle to keep others safe at work. Seeing how meticulous they were at the vaccination surgery, I am once again going to put some points across tomorrow to the bosses.

And jab one isn’t exactly IMMUNITY, sadly. I didn’t feel any safer when I had to go to fucking ALDI yesterday and everyone was climbing over each other.

I just put my name down to volunteer in one of the mass vaccination centres in Paris

My dad turned 70 today so he's hoping he's included in the 70+ vaccination letters that started being sent out from today. Hopefully they're not using an historic list!

I know here at least they are still working through the over 80s and don't envisage starting on the over 70s for at least a few days. And of course GP surgeries are now swamped with over 70s wondering why they haven't heard yet.
