Thursday seems a little on edge and not quite on the same planet

I remember friends growing up thinking my family were posh as fuck, as the ex-council house we lived in had a VESTIBULE.

Aww I went to look up our little bungalow with a porch and they've taken the whole road off Streetview :(

The word "vestibule" gives me a wide-on. I have no idea why. It just sounds sexy.

Going back to shit shopping precincts, Anglia Square in Norwich is my favourite. https://goo.gl/maps/7xBrcbbbeWtJUPXA8

I've always liked the subtle functionalism of Edinburgh's Kirkgate.

We share a little bit of LAND at the back of our garden with next door, horses come on it every winter and EAT everything :disco:

The Plaza shopping centre in East Kilbride used to have an ace little precinct bit just outside the centre itself but when they extended it, they also covered a chunk of it over, leaving very little actual precinct. The bastards.

OMG LARDER! We had one of those growing up but it was just a big under-stairs cupboard in the kitchen.
Yup this. Our 80s house where my parents still live had something called a FAMILY ROOM! It was basically a utility room.

At the current pace the only thing I'm going to inherit is a heart condition and a stamp collection.

Goes to show how much people abuse the system in normal times :o

Or people are frightened of going there, more like. I certainly wouldn’t in current conditions, unless my head was hanging off or I was coughing up internal organs

I imagine people are having fewer accidents as well what with being stuck at home.

Slips, trips and falls, though. You can be bending down to load your flannels and antimacassars into the tumble dryer one minute and all of a sudden you’ve had a topple and your leg’s snapped off :(

Someone told me once that the big shopping centre in East Kilbride was originally multiple precincts and streets that got covered over and merged, and I've never looked into the veracity of that but I've always loved/been horrified by that idea.

TRUE. Not to mention the risk of SCALDING whilst stirring your boiling bloomers on the hob. Especially if a breeze jangles your bead curtain and makes you jump
