Thursday wakes up to a massive election

I've forced myself awake NOW. I got out of bed at MIDDAY yesterday, which depressed me!

I didn’t even realise my neighbour was standing. I did vote for him however.
 
It's very hard to find the enthusiasm to go and vote just for my Police (and Fire) and Crime Commissioner

Especially given the winner is guaranteed.

It's surely the least intriguing introduction to the political process of all time. It's the only vote I've ever missed.

Oh it’s shite. We’re lucky it’s combined with the county elections this time because we normally get less than 100 people turning out for it on its own.
 
My bathroom has leaked into the dining room overnight, all over work monitor and my laptop was sat in a puddle of water. It came through the lights too. Irony is Mr F keeping the new lawnmower in there as the shed leaks, it got wetter than it would have done in the shed. FML 🤦🏼‍♀️
 
I'll always have a soft spot for the Police & Crime Commissioner elections because the last one was the first time that I had ever voted for a winner. :disco: Stupid safe Tory area that I used to live in.

I'm mortified. I had itchy feet last night and sent out my CV and a little letter to a bunch of international schools on a whim. But I forgot to bcc: the email and now they can all see the other schools and I look like a huge idiot/CV whore.

One Greek school has already got back saying that it might be better not to show a school all the places you've messaged.

As a student, I once sent an internship cover letter to Novartis telling them what a great pharmaceutical company Sanofi is and how I'd be thrilled to join them :(:D

Did you get the internship?

And it's okay, I just need to come to terms with the fact that I'll never be working in Barcelona or Valencia. :D:(
 
Will head out to the polling station for lunch but really haven't a clue who to vote for. I'm genuinely going to have Count Binface as second choice and will just go Green Party as a default.
 
The options here were only Lab, Lib, Con and Reform so it was an easy choice for me.
 
I wish we had a NIP candidate here. I’d vote for them.
 
Looking for JOBS today. I haven’t heard back about the interview last week. I presume I’m still in the running as I’m sure they’d send an official REJECTION seeing as I got to the final interview stage, but probably shouldn’t put all my eggs in that basket.

I properly LOATHE looking for and applying for jobs though.
