Thursday wakes up to a massive election

So glad I read my polling card before I went to vote because it was at a different polling station than the last seventeen years have been at. It's a church that you can see from the big roundabout but you have to walk up a weird ginnel that runs along the side of the slip road off the motorway then through a housing estate but there are no signs to direct people. Commented at the nice man who gave me my votes that I'd walked round in circles trying to find the entrance and he said "they're doing it here on purpose because nobody can ever find it so there'll be less votes". The worst part is that I don't even think he was kidding.
Voter repression is very real.

Voter repression is very real.

I rang up this morning to check if I was registered here as we moved in September and even though I’d registered to vote her had no card. After explaining that on the phone I was told I couldnt vote! I pushed her to check I was on the register at the old house and surprise I was, so I went to the polling station there. Fummin.

I’ve just ordered some cookie dough from a place I haven’t ordered from in MONTHS and I can’t wait for it to CHANGE MY LIFE :disco:

So the landlord has messaged to say there’s a group viewing the house TOMORROW.

THANKS FOR THE EARLY HEADS UP LOVE

Oh god, if they did that to me the place would be a disgrace.

"And to the right is the pile of rubbish because the bin is a whole three steps away"

:D

I only got back TODAY so I’ll save the unpacking until tomorrow night.

Student house viewings were always the WORST. Every single time there'd be at least one room where a couple would be in bend and would bounce up dramatically when the landlord knocked and came in. Like they weren't told.

And then one time we had a very messy housemate who during the big pre-viewing season clean brushed all the dirt and plates and mangled rotten food under his bed hoping nobody would notice until the agent came round and had to hold her nose when she walked through his door.

Ah uni. <3

I once had a knock on my door at 9am, ignored it because i was hungover and there was a guy FAST ASLEEP next to me, and then heard the door go. Cue 7 girls walking in with an estate agent. Turns out the estate agent had emailed a housemate who had moved out weeks prior :) very useful.
