Hiya loves.

Lurgy has gone, was just a mild 24hr vibe. Just in the process of professionally calling a client a cunt and washing my hands of them.

Just walked past some old man in the hospital cafe screaming “Look what’s happened to this country. Woke! This ‘ospital’s WOKE!”

Not sure what set him off in the CAFF of all places. Probably spot a rainbow lanyard.

I've got my appointment booked with the nurse at the doctor's for my South Africa vaccinations next week :disco:

Also, I called Direct Line when Heathcliff died to tell them I needed to cancel his policy, because he died. I then cancelled the direct debit.

Yesterday I received a letter saying I cancelled the DD too early as I had to give 30 days notice to cancel, and therefore owed them money.

Sorry that my dead cat didn't give me 30 days notice of dying 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also when I phoned the doctors to book my appointment, I asked if I could book my partner's appt too.

And the receptionist automatically said "yes of course, what's HIS date of birth".

I didn't correct her, but then she sounded very flustered and confused and said "sorry, what is your partner's name" , so I said, and then she was all "oh, oh right, oh sorry".

I feel like in this day and age if someone says partner, you shouldn't automatically assume it's the opposite sex.

That's disgraceful from Direct Line. When Ridley passed away I rang Sainsburys Insurance up and then just stopped everything there and then and they automatically refunded me the rest of the month I'd already paid for a week or so later.

I was shocked when I got the letter. This is it. I have friends who work in insurance who are all disgusted.

I'd be tempted to ring them and query why you have to pay for insurance when your pet was dead. You rang and informed them at the time and this is all very upsetting and feels like they're just trying to screw more money out of you. Lay it on thick. Tell them that you will be telling all of your friends and family about this. Hopefully you'll get somebody sympathetic who can write it off.

I am wondering if I should write to them as I think I'll cry if I call them. But I'm rubbish at stuff like this :(

Fuck me thats heartless!

I think, the only thing I can work out it could be, is I pay my premiums a month behind. It looks like the last payment I made was 25th August, he died 20th sept, so maybe it's the September one I owe for? I can't really work it out.
