UK General Election 2024 - Results Day

This Islington north announcer is not the one for a constituency as dramatic as that…

All the fun has gone out of this in the last few minutes.

Honestly, Lib Dems are having a fucking dream night.

They've just taken Newton Abbot, a huge overturn

Kinda. Their vote share is not even looking like beating 10% - ten years ago it was at 20%. They’re just getting loads of seats because of tactical voting.

This whole thing is just anti-Tori voting: where Labour were second they’re getting massive swings, where Lib Dem’s were second they’re getting massive swings… and then another 10% are going to Reform everywhere…

It could be good for them in the long run though, as they will just get a lot more coverage generally. I hope Davey
actually uses this to do something good rather than play silly buggers for the next five years.

I agree, but they're taking more than they probably even expected. That feels like a win for them.

Looks like Labour lost Mid Bedfordshire aka Nadine Dorries country back to the Cons?
