Lmao... biggest "landslide from a resounding meh" going.

Surely it'd be disastrous for Starmer not to at least call a referendum on PR. If not and the Tories put it in the 2029 manifesto we get 5 more years of them fuckers first.

Elephant in the room being Reform of course who will be stirring up a LOT of shit in the next 5 years over being 3rd place in vote share with only 4 seats (probably easily have ended up the main opposition if there wasn't currently the "wasted vote" argument). Very real risks there if the country continues drifting to the far right.
 
The Truss defeat was certainly fun to wake up to :D

Had to hit GOOGLE to remind myself why she's so hated (more than other Tories like say the vile Braverman) as she was so non-noteworthy.

Depends how desperate the Tories are to win a minimum term in 2029 surely? Pile the 5 years of Frogface and the media harping on and on about it on top. Dunno. I always say it'd be a good thing until the far right vote shares are the ones sending the message :zombie:

not sure if posted and obviously can't read 700 pages of this thread but Corbyn's speech in Islington North was LOVELY



glad he won there and handed Labour their ass. the crack in his voice set me off a bit.

Because they underperformed both on the popular vote and in gaining seats. A Farage grift normally has a very limited shelf-life because he’s an opportunist dickbag so this was about as good as it’s going to get for them.
 
The polls had second place as a 4 way split in my constituency but happy to see Greens come second with 17% and reform a distant 5th.
 
I slept rather well after Rees-Mogg's announcement. Who would have thought it would get EVEN BETTER? :disco:

Of the ten local seats (those including suburbia), it's Labour 8, Green 1, Lib Dem 1 :disco:

Greens were second in four :disco:

My nearest Tory is now FORTY MILES AWAY :disco:
