Ahh, Linda Smith. What a legend. I'd have loved to hear what she'd have made of all this.
 
Under both our own and the EU’s laws, these people aren’t actually doing anything wrong by crossing the channel. Patel knows this full well but decides pandering to the thickest people in the country will make her more popular. Because she’s an evil cunt.

My God I hope that when she dies it’s in prolonged, unbearable agony.

I had a real thirty second soul search earlier today where I wondered if me hating Priti more than ANY OF THE OTHER SHOWER OF SHIT was because of some deep hidden innate racism I hadn’t spotted before.

Then I realised that actually, it’s because she’s just the biggest cunt.

I’ve had that same struggle. There are a lot of outright cunts among the Tories, but Patel is the most inhumane of them all. She isn’t cartoonishly villainous like the rest, she’s just a flat-out cunt.
 
As much as I hate her, I think most of the current batch of Tories would be equally as bad in that post right now.
 
The home secretary is always coming for poppers! Why do they keep giving the job to bitter old women?!

I feel like what makes her so terribly unlikeable is that she seems to really enjoy being a dickhead. Always delivering bad news with a smirk (I know, it's just HER FACE) and much more upfront about being an actual demon than her colleagues who at least try to bury it beneath PR fluff. I'd probably put Jacob Rees Mogg in the same category.

Like, much as they're not for me, you can see WHY people find Boris amusing, or Rishi charming, or ironically stan Liz Truss, or feel a bit sorry for poor, useless Matt Hancock. There's none of that with Priti Patel. You get the feeling she pulls wings off flies for fun.

It’s all well and good if you’ve got a BUSTED HOLE like Priti, but some of us keep our schpincters tight thank you very much, and need some chemical encouragement before RECEIVING GUESTS.
 
Much as I don't really want to be fair to Priti Patel, I don't think she actually is coming for poppers. The article suggests that she is concerned that a Court of Appeal judgement combined with the specific wording of their most recent legislation makes it unclear whether they are already illegal. She wants to confirm the position regarding this and then to amend the legislation to specifically state that they are legal if the advice suggests that this is necessary. She might be a soulless vacuum of a human being, but she wants to keep her hole trim.

For me the most disgusting thing about her is the obvious burning of the ladder when it comes to attitudes towards immigration. You're a second-generation immigrant Priti, and the heart of the Tory party will NEVER accept you even if you're desperate to get their validation by overcompensating on your viciousness about migrants. All you are is their useful idiot, WELL DONE.
 
Priti Patel is almost cartoonish in her villianery. It's hard to imagine something more ridiculous than a stuck-up Lahnden brat suggesting we need to divert millions in resources to shooting dingies with 6 or 7 refugees out of the Channel to appease the now-dominant Nazi wing of the Government. She's one glass of wine away from Al Murray's Pub Landlord.
 
This A-Level thing isn't going down well is it? Going to be a lot of angry middle class parents and grandparents today, and they're usually core tories.
 
Even more amazing is that private schools haven't been impacted because of a last minute adjustment. :|

My parents are Telegraph readers and I do wonder if they ever see the headlines from any other paper.
