Correct. Every other comment was "Trump is this, Trump is that" often to questions that had nothing to do with him. Michelle Obama famously warned about punching down. IE, never do it.After the initial launch, there wasn’t much substance to engage or excite her supporters. Like Clinton, she ran a highly defensive campaign centered around 'I’m competent, and I’m not Trump'. As the Biden administration has already been rejected, she needed a distinct cause to make people turn out and vote for her.
NoWhy are we shoehorning Janet into this? Has she not suffered enough?
She absolutely will not run in 2028.
Yeah she won’t even try again. She will be doing speaking engagements and writing books like Clinton.
Disagree with this. It's very reductive. Anti-incumbent sentiment might be a part of it but she lost because the Biden administration did not convince enough people that they were a better alternative.
She's been preparing for this for years. The woman had 4 months to produce a campaign and defeat a juggernaut opponent. Give her a break. She was a shit candidate, but give her a break.
I agree it’s probably too simplistic, but we definitely are in uncharted territory in terms of the global pandemic and its aftermath effects on the collective psyche.
Meanwhile, I'm interested to see what the Republicans' plans are to supposedly fix border security.
I'll go with "at least 5 more FLOP assassination attempts in the first year".We need to start a predictions thread for Trump 2.0.
I am going for SHITS HIMSELF DURING THE STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS
The drop in female voters was definitely a shock to me.I deliberately didn’t get too invested in this campaign as you’re only setting yourself up to be annoyed about something you’ve zero control over when a result like this, which always seemed very possible, comes up.
What I find shocking about the numbers being quoted on the radio is that Harris’ number of female voters went down from Biden and also the volume and increase of Hispanic male voters for Trump after what his campaign had said. Sorry if I’m repeating stuff that was already covered.
How many friends of yours lives on the countryside, are heavily religious or even conservative?I just don’t get it. I understand that America is racist and sexist and all of those arguments, but all of my friends voted for Kamala, as did the vast majority of my family, coworkers, and neighbors. I know he has this support, but it feels so far and alien from my life.
I obviously want Democrats to do better in the future, but I can’t even wrap my head around how this happened, let alone what to do differently in the future

That’s the issue though. How can we ever convince anyone or get a point across if we’re living in separate worlds from them?We increasingly live in a bubble. I don’t know anyone who voted for Brexit or would vote Tory.
Or at least admit doing so.
We probably always were, just these events expose them. Brexit certainly showed Britain up to be horribly split, a truly unpleasant social experience. Of course it's more nuanced than that - I'm sure sociologists would be wringing their hands at such a simple explanation. That’s the issue though.
