I’m still in bed- third day in a row I’ve struggled to get up. Not sure why.

I'm having to fight this a bit. I always get sad when September hits because of how much I come alive in summer. Added to the fact that I can suddenly see going back to work on the horizon for the first time in three months, plus the likelihood of lockdown reoccurring and it's easy to feel grim. But I'm trying my hardest to push back on that...
 
Yeah it’s definitely the post summer blues, July and August were great because of the novelty of seeing everyone and going away but now there’s NOT MUCH on the horizon, and every time I go out it’s the SAME.

Yup. It’s a lot worse this year for that reason- summer coincided with the novelty of lockdown lifting. There’s fuck all now until Christmas and even that I’m not convinced will be business as usual.

This is why I've just spunked a load of money on a van. Gives me a little project for the winter plus if we do get any nice weekend sun we can just pile into it and go and get shitfaced in a field.

Although after picking it up yesterday and it being fucking DISGUSTINGLY dirty I did have a bit of a sulk on that I'd bought a pile of shit. Its gleaming in the sun this morning and so I'm happier with my purchase. Full on drunk ebay remorse seems to have passed.
 
I don’t think the potential return of lockdown bothers me too much at all, apart from the stress it will cause for work. I don’t exactly think BRING IT ON personally, but it wouldn't be the worse thing to happen.
 
I don't think people are going to pay the slightest bit of attention anyway
 
On the plus side I'm only do a half day today and neither of my bosses are due in till the afternoon.
 
Also how do people feel about CREAM in their coffee, I used to think it was a gross American thing, but now I've started doing it I can't stop!

Similarly I've run out of olive oil and have therefore been cooking with butter all week to great delight.

Pray for Lucy's heart.

The weekend before last our local council were dishing home testing kits out like Smarties to young people in the town centre. This week it's impossible to get tested unless you want to pay daft money for a kit.
 
I've pretty much sacked off today already. I'm due a delivery. It'll be "before 9pm". :vomit:
 
My neck glands were up last night and I was thinking OH NO CORONA PART 2 but I snorted some First Defence and I'm fine this morning. GO GO IMMUNE SYSTEM
 
An old friend of mine has gone Top 10 on iTunes. :o He is an absolute darling, and has spent most of his time in lockdown doing things for charity.

I was totally confused there as I thought I had something wrong with my iTunes and then realised I never said Top 10 ALBUM. Not bad for a pub singer.
 
That is AMAZING for Steps though. A fair few moopers will be FROTHING AT THE GUSSET at such a fine site.
