I'm fucking dogshit at wrapping and outsource it all to Ms Ron except hers, which I outsource to my Mum, because I'm a pathetic man child.

I've never been good at wrapping presents but, overtime, my amateurish output has sparked the odd wry titter amongst my kith and kin. I've improved a little bit since then but I refuse to buy based on how easy or otherwise it is to wrap something.

I've been and it was quite shit if not quite as shit as I expected. I've been hanging around town looking in the shops since 2 waiting to get word that MADAM has left as WE ARE NOT ON DRINKING TERMS but none as yet so I'm going home.

Anyway the best bit was when I walked past two women sitting in town and one of them said to the other "HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO GO TO YOUR FUNERAL, JUST TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU WERE DEAD" :D

Was your Christmas shindig today? DROOPY DRAWERS will have a sore head tomorrow.

I doubt it. I must have drunk about one of the four bottles of wine myself

I’m finding it so hard to attach my braces correctly to my trousers I’m on the verge of tears of anger and hatred.

I've cut back on the present buying this year. Nothing for my brother or sister, or the nieces and nephews over 18 (so four out of seven).

Although, when I've got Mr L about NINETY presents (stocking fillers excluded), this is all pretty much MOOT when it comes to wrapping.

Do the nieces/ nephews know this? They're not expecting anything?

I mentioned it to a few of them about a month ago. I'm assuming word will spread, or my mum will pass it on.

We don't buy each other xmas presents. It saves SO much faff.

I've been trying this with Mr F even though I've got him two prezzies that he'll love (which don't really count because I bought them in September and they're Manchester United pictures for the dining-room wall). I keep saying that I don't want anything for Christmas, literally the only thing I wanted was for Mr F to get his operation but when he rang the surgeon's secretary yesterday for an update she told him that all elective surgery is cancelled until after new year now so I bought a box of Ferrero Rochers when I did the online shop last night and told him that's what he's got me when they delivered it. It isn't like he's in any fit state to go shopping anyway.

I just hate having to buy presents for the sake of it. I find it stressful trying to think of ideas for gifts so it's much better this way!

Yes. The niece has said she doesn't want more than two, for whatever that is worth. The other older one is far too concerned with travelling the globe and festivals to consider children.

Have I just seen Julia Davis in the trailer for the Gavin & Stacey special? I might have to actually watch it.
