Lizzie line obviously MOGS the others so much it’s not really fair.

Windrush Line in second for being LIGHT and BREEZY and because 95% of people I know live with half a mile of it.
 
I will probably never ever learn the names of the Overground lines. IT'S JUST ONE BIG LINE

(obviously it's not but the maps always presented it that way and it's too late to rewire my brain)
 
Was also good for diplomatic relations in my 20s when there was a very clear HACKNEY/PECKHAM divide, though everyone GAVE UP and moved south eventually.

Everyone still calls it the overground although it makes giving directions to out of towners a little easier.
 
The Victoria line really is THAT GIRL for all the reasons @funky gave. The most essential tube line.

The Jubilee line is also a PLEASURE TO RIDE and has the best, most futuristic stations (hello Southwark, hello Westminster, hello Canary Wharf that got used in an actual Star Wars film) so that gets a vote too.

I'm a big fan of the Elizabeth Line, but I echo that she's not the London Underground. She goes to Reading for goodness sake
 
I like the Victoria line but it's probably one of the dingier ones (I haven't ridden the Metropolitan *shudders* in decades though so I can't speak on that).
 
I’m coming to London for the rest of the month tomorrow.. can’t wait to experience the Central Line and Bakerloo line in a heatwave again :)

We did the Victoria line yesterday and it was horrible. And it was only really warm rather than hot outside. The Elizabeth line (and particularly having it straight from Paddington) really has spoiled us.

I don't care that it's not official underground - the supposed actual underground runs to Watford, Heathrow and Upminster. The underground never limited itself to the arbitary boundaries of Greater London. Besides a lot of it IS UNDERGROUND.
 
I do feel our Lizzie takes a bit too long at stations to shut the bloody doors, but aside from that no complaints.

Victoria wins for me for efficiency, but as a Tooting whore I adore my Northern.

Friendly, cheerful, family-oriented, and everyone secretly enjoys sitting at the front pretending to drive.

South London’s practical workhorse. Doesn’t get much national attention but has a loyal following and a dry sense of humour.


The line most Londoners would argue about: The Northern Line. Half of London would insist it’s a lovable eccentric like Noel Fielding; the other half would say it’s more like a sleep-deprived conspiracy theorist who keeps changing their mind halfway through a sentence.


And if you asked commuters during a signal failure, every line would temporarily become Piers Morgan.
